If you desire, students are invited to schedule one student/parent(s)/guardian(s) appointment or student only appointment as you begin this exciting journey. Families are welcome to join these meetings in person or via google meet (please let us know in advance if you would like to attend via google meet so we can send the link and details).

● Save at least 3 schools in the “following” section of SCOIR (indicate one likely, one level, and one reach)
● Complete your YouScience (Career Profile) with 3 saved careers in SCOIR

Summer High School Internship Opportunity with Blueprints for Pangaea
Sanjana Kandiraju (2022 IAC graduate) is the Chief Development Officer at Blueprints for Pangaea and is inviting IA students to apply to a Summer Internship for high school students with Blueprints for Pangaea.
Here's a message from Sanjana:
Blueprints For Pangaea is a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that reallocates excess, unused medical supplies from U.S. hospitals to areas in need overseas. Our mission is to minimize domestic inefficiency and mobilize accessible healthcare in emerging communities. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it’s become even more important for medical surplus recovery organizations like ours to assist in times of need.
To date, we have partnered with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Niger, Project C.U.R.E. and others to redistribute more than 85,000+ pounds of medical supplies valued at $4,000,000+ to foreign hospitals. Most recently, we donated 8,000+ pounds of supplies to India to help with the COVID-19 response, and are currently organizing shipments to aid in the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and Lebanon. We have been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, Barron’s, and many other accredited publications. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about global health and aspire to evoke positive worldly change.
The part-time Intern at the headquarters of Blueprints for Pangaea, located at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, will have the opportunity to spend up to 5 hours per week during the summer immersing themselves in the organization, as well as partaking in networking and mentorship opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to make a tangible difference in diminishing medical resource inequality while preparing for a future driven by impact.
Are you passionate about health care, business, and global inequity and searching for ways to gain hands-on experience over the summer? Apply to the Blueprints for Pangaea’s exclusive summer internship program, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate university students at the headquarters of the organization!
How to apply?
The application process will take place in a video competition, where you will be tasked to artistically or creatively explain a healthcare inequity you are passionate about addressing. After submitting your video, we ask that you provide a brief one-page explanation of the issue you chose to address (supporting your conclusions with citations) as well as an explanation of why you would like to apply for the internship program.
The final deadline for submission will be June 10th, 2024. Visit our website to learn more about the application process and prompt!
Fill out this interest form for more information on how to enter and secure an enriching experience for your summer! If you are a club leader at your school, we invite you to share this email and interest form with your members as well.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at contact@b4pglobal.org and we look forward to seeing videos from you.
