CLASS OF 2025 SECTION
2025 Senior Party!
Hi 2025 Senior parents - welcome to a whirlwind year that will be capped off with an amazing send off for your graduates at the 2025 Senior Party!!
The senior party is a parent-run all-nighter that takes place the night of graduation, and believe it or not, planning starts now. The 2024 party was a huge hit and the Committee Chairs are ready to share their insights and pass the torch.
The success of this special night takes the involvement of a core group of committee chairs, with the support of additional parent volunteers throughout the year. We are looking for a group of parents who are interested in an active role. Some of the lead positions include Party Chair/Co-Chair, Treasurer, Social Media, Decorations, Entertainment, Ticket Sales, Donations, Event Planner, Food, Volunteer Coordination, and more.
Please bring a friend and join us on Tues 10/8 at 6:30pm in the Eastview Commons to hear more. If you cannot attend, but are interested in chairing a committee or helping out, please send your contact info to eastviewseniorparty@gmail.com
Just for fun...here are a couple of student quotes from the 2024 party feedback...you know you want to be part of these kinds of memories!
It was an amazing experience all around. I enjoyed every part of it and I felt that the crew behind the scenes did an amazing job of keeping everyone entertained. There were so many activities to choose from that I never felt bored or like I didn’t have anything to do. From the horse racing to the concert I thought all of it was so put together and was a very enjoyable night all around. I enjoyed being able to see everyone one last time before summer started then college. Especially after such an important day with graduation, ending it with that part was perfect!
The senior party was one of the best nights of my high school experience. It was the last time all my friends were in the same place and I could laugh and make one of a kind memories with them. The worst part of the party was leaving, I almost cried watching all my classmates that I knew I wouldn’t see over the summer again walk away for a final time. The senior party has been one of my conversation topics meeting people in college because of all the fun things I got to do during it. Being hypnotized and riding a bull are things that I may not get the opportunity to do again, so I cherish everything that I got to do that night and will be looking back on those memories for the rest of my life. That night meant the world to me and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
The senior party was an incredible opportunity to spend one final night inside Eastview with my peers. It provided a sense of unity and celebration that really made up for our lack thereof when we started high school due to the pandemic. We got to enjoy each other’s company and recognize our accomplishments. It was an amazing opportunity and a memory I will never forget.
Hope to see you on 10/8.

DISTRICT SPORTS
Eastview Mountain Bike Team Success!!
The Eastview Mountain Bike (MTB) Team is off to a fantastic start to the 2024 race season. A few weeks into the race season, the team has two races under their belt with some impressive results. For those who are not familiar with this team or the sport, Eastview has had a team competing with the 196MTB under the Minnesota Cycling Association for more than eight years.
In recent years, Eastview has achieved many top 5 finishes and even produced race-winning athletes. In 2021, one of our racers, James Povolny, took home the varsity state championship and now racing in college. The exciting thing about our team, is seeing the entire team rise to a very high level. Not only are multiple racers achieving top 10 and top 5 finishes, but many athletes are winning races in their respective categories.
These fantastic finishes have led to something special. Last year, the Eastview team brought home its first overall team win in a late-season race—a significant accomplishment for the program, athletes, and coaches.
"This victory served as a catalyst for a 'lightning' start to the 2024 season! The Eastview team has kicked off the season with 3 consecutive overall high school team wins, while the middle school team has triumphed in the last two races within their respective division."
Among those team wins, there were two very notable individuals who won their categories in Boys Varsity and Girls JV3. And wouldn’t you know, it was the brother-sister duo of Miles and Margo Bremer!
Congratulations to all riders for their accomplishments and impressive start to the race season. Wishing all riders continued success as they prepare for the final races of the season.
For more information about our team and upcoming events please visit our website at www.196mtb.org.
