A message from the Principal - Mrs. Bookman
To our Suffield Family,
At Suffield, we are committed to fostering a positive learning environment through our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) initiative. This month, our focus is on the "S" in SOAR, which stands for Safe. We believe that a safe playground is essential for every student's enjoyment and well-being. Throughout October, we encourage our students to demonstrate safe behaviors while playing, and those who do will be rewarded with a special activity at the end of the month.
During today’s assembly, we discussed the importance of safety on the playground, highlighting specific behaviors that contribute to a secure and enjoyable experience for everyone. Our students are excited about the upcoming reward activity and understand that by being safe, they contribute to a positive school culture. Let’s all continue to SOAR as proud falcons, supporting one another in our goal to be Safe, Outstanding, Accountable, and Respectful!

Substitutes Needed
We are now hiring classified substitute workers for various roles, including Playground Monitors, Educational Aides, Cafeteria Workers, Secretarial Staff, Custodial Staff, Bus Aides, and Bus Drivers. A current BCI & FBI background check is required before applying for any substitute position. Some positions may also require an aide permit, which the Administration Office can help you obtain. You have the flexibility to work the hours that suit you, and you'll be on call to cover for regular employees. For more details or assistance with the application process, please contact Bev Bable at the Administration Office beverly.bable@fieldlocalschools.org.
Birthday Treats
At this time, we will allow Birthday Treats to be brought to school. We are required to inform you of the Healthy Eating Guidelines (see below) and suggest that you use this when selecting a treat. Whatever you choose, please note that all treats brought to school for the purpose of sharing with others, need to be prepackaged so we are able to know and see the ingredients list. There are many students who have a variety of food allergies and having the ingredients listed helps the school nurse determine if a student with allergies can eat a particular treat.
Suffield CARES
