On Monday, April 22nd students at SGA received a surprise visit from members of "The Aristocats," an LHS choir group who performed a number of songs for students, including singing a special "Happy Birthday" song to SGA student Cruz Zapata for his special day.

SGA Secretary Mona Gutierrez was given a surprise breakfast and money tree for Administrative Assistant's Day on Wednesday, April 24. Thank you Mrs. Gutierrez for all you do to make SGA great!

Students in Ms. Benson's 2nd period science class launched their bottle rocket projects at the old soccer fields on Tuesday, April 30th.

Students who brought their completed NMAA pre-participation evaluation packets will be traveling by bus to Nor-Lea General Hospital on Wednesday, May 1st to receive their physical examination. Please ensure you students is at school this day.

SGA students will be traveling to Pannell Auditorium by bus on Friday, May 3rd at 8:30 a.m. to watch the Ballet Folklorico performance. Please note this change in location for that morning.

Members of the Sixth Grade Academy National Honor Society will travel to Main Event in Lubbock, TX by bus for their annual field trip on Thursday, May 9th. Please have your student to school on time as the bus will depart at 7:45 a.m.

Semester exams for the 4th quarter will take place beginning on Friday, May 17 with all electives tests being given that day, Science and Math final exams will be administered on Monday, May 20 and Language Arts and Social Studies exams will take place on Tuesday, May 21.

SGA students will be dismissed early on Wednesday, May 15 at 11:45 a.m. Please note this schedule change and make pickup arrangements for your child.

Students will be returning their Chromebooks and chargers at school on the morning of Wednesday May 22. Please make sure your student's computer is clean, disinfected and free of damage. Please note, if any damage is found to the device upon check-in, or the charger is not turned in with the Chromebook, you will be responsible for paying for the damages or replacements.

Students will be rewarded with a fun day at the soccer field behind SGA on Thursday, May 23. Students and staff will be out at the soccer field for the duration of the school day from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Students will eat lunch and have snacks at the field. Students are encouraged to bring a towel, sunscreen and other sun protectant gear.

SGA students will be released for Summer Break on Friday, May 24 at 1:45 p.m. We hope everyone has a safe and fun Summer vacation!
