Uhland Roos are working hard!
Last STAAR Test!
Uhland students in 3rd, 4th and 5th will be working on their last state assessment on Tuesday, April 30th. They will be taking their Math STAAR Test! We are so proud of our students because they have been working so hard with their teachers to show what they know on these state assessments.
Testing for the End of the Year
All students will begin taking the End of Year assessments in the 1st week of May for reading and 2nd and 3rd week of May for math. I can't wait to see how much our students have grown!
THANK THE TEACHERS!
May 6th through the 10th is Teacher Appreciation Week! Please take time to thank your child's teacher for all the learning your student achieved this school year. Our teachers are the hardest working, most caring teachers ever. I am thankful to have them at Roo Nation! Below is the flyer for families to participate in Teacher Appreciation Week.
Home of the Roos
The picture at the top, "Home of the Roos", is a project that Student Council worked on completing. The students chose the slogan and we purchased the materials with Chocolate Fundraiser monies. It is a great way to instill more school pride for our students and staff.
We are also grateful that Uhland PTA!

Reminders 🤓
Dress Code
Please do not send your Roos to school with jeans torn like this. Students with considerable tears in their pants will have to call home to get a change of clothes or wear clothes that we have available in their size. To avoid your Roo wearing clothes they don't want to wear or getting a call from our office, please send your student to school in appropriate clothes. Please send students to school in proper attire. No short shorts more than 3 inches above the knee, no short shirts that show the students stomach and/or back or jeans that are torn excessively. School Administrators have the discretion to determine if students' dress is appropriate for school activities.
Roos may continue to wear khakis and blue shirts as they wish.
On time is BETTER!
Parents should ensure that students arrive at school by 7:25 so students can be dropped off, enter the building, and be seated in their classroom by 7:30. Therefore if students are NOT seated in their classroom by 7:30, they will be considered tardy. Students and staff need to start classes at 7:30, so we will be asking parents to park at 7:29 since students won’t be able to make it to class by 7:30. Don’t let your child be late. We appreciate your help and cooperation.
