NOTES FROM THE OFFICE
UNITY DAY
Unity Day will be this coming Monday! Please wear orange to send a visible message to your school that you are in support of unity, kindness, and acceptance in our school and community! This will also count as COTY points for spirit week. During T-Time we have a special guest speaker, Latasha Kelly. Teen Leadership will also be selling cookies and coffee that day in the morning and during both lunches. All proceeds will go to a local charity.
GIFT CARDS FOR TEACHERS
Thank you to all of the parents who donated gift cards for our staff last year. Through out the year we like to give out gift cards to the staff for a variety of reasons. Please consider donating $5 or $10 gift cards. Gift cards can be dropped off in the main office. We appreciate you.
JUNIORS - FOOTBALL CONCESSION WORKERS
The Junior Class is looking for parents to help with Varsity Football concession stands. Please use this sign up to claim a spot - if your student would like to help, they can sign up in their Class of 2026 Google Classroom. IMMUNIZATIONS
AHS families,
All missing immunizations/documentation will need to be delivered to the health office by the end of the day on October 17th to avoid your student being excluded from school. If your student has a scheduled appointment and you have not reached out to us with the date please do so as soon as possible so we can make note of the date. If your student is missing immunizations, you have received several notices, be it by USPS or email. Final notices are going out on October 2nd via USPS. Please be sure this is on your to do list, once excluded from school, your student will not be able to be in school or school related activities until proof of appointment or vaccination is received.
Thank you,
AHS nursing staff

ZERO REASONS WHY
Zero Reasons Why is a campaign to end teen suicide. I was struck this week with how the phrase "just kill yourself/myself" is used. Even while dealing with teens in difficult circumstances, I often marvel at the gifts, talents and strengths each individual has. I want to counter the message, you, are so valuable! Life can be cruel; sometimes our circumstances seem dismal, however, circumstances change, every individual has the power to make positive choices. Please never take a permanent solution to a temporary problem, you are far too valuable!
DRUG TAKE BACK
October 26th from 10 until 2, Andover PD will be participating in the National Drug Take Back. Bring any unwanted, leftover, over-prescribed medications to the police station to be destroyed. The only thing we can’t take are liquids and needles. Please clean out the med cabinet, and let us help you out!
