As we step into March, we can feel the excitement of spring in the air here at Central Mountain High School. With warmer weather just around the corner, our students are gearing up for a busy and exciting season filled with extracurricular activities, academic preparation, and school-wide events that showcase their hard work and dedication.
One of the highlights of the season is our Spring Musical, Chicago, which will take place from April 4-6. Our talented students and staff have been putting in countless hours of rehearsal to bring this production to life, and we can’t wait to see them shine on stage. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the musical at our PBIS Spring Musical Preview event. We encourage everyone to come out and support the arts here at CMHS!
With May quickly approaching, our students are also preparing for the Keystone Exams. These important assessments require focus and dedication, and we encourage students to stay committed to their studies in the coming weeks. Teachers and staff are available to provide extra support, so please take advantage of the resources offered to ensure success.
As we approach the end of the school year, we also want to remind families to check our school district website and social media pages for updates regarding graduation and other year-end activities. These events mark a significant milestone for our seniors, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements.
Finally, our PBIS program continues to provide fun and engaging activities for our students this spring. We’re excited to host events such as the March Madness Watch Party, the Spring Musical Preview, and several other opportunities for students to be recognized for their positive behavior and school spirit.

This year, we will be offering monthly ‘Keystone Conversations’ in an effort to provide our parents and guardians with information they feel would be most helpful to assist in closing the gap between home and school. We would love to hear from parents / guardians to know what training or information they would like to receive. There is so much awesomeness that can be achieved when we're present at school. If something is getting in the way of your student coming to school, please reach out to your student's teacher, school counselor, district social worker, or school nurse. We want to make sure that your student is receiving whatever supports necessary to help them be successful.
REMINDER: As we start a new school year, excuses need to be turned in within 3 days of an absence. Use your school's attendance email to make sure that the excuse notes get turned in on time.
