Say “hello” to Parent-Teacher Chat
Alma School District families, we are thrilled to introduce a new communication method. Get ready for parent-teacher chat and classroom announcements within the Alma School District app. Keeping up with the district, schools, and your student's teachers and classes has never been simpler. In August, parents and guardians will receive email instructions on creating their login for accessing Rooms in the district app. In the meantime, please download the Alma School District app and take a moment to watch this video to preview what's on the horizon!

Summer Theatre Arts Camp
The Attack of the Killer Grasshoppers - Summer Theatre Arts Camp was proudly hosted by Airedale Theatre and the Skokos Performing Arts Center. The camp welcomed over 60 Alma students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade. In just six days, these students prepared and presented a musical, focusing not only on refining theatrical skills but also on promoting teamwork, creativity, and building confidence. Each student had the chance to showcase their talents, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. Special recognition goes to Missy Gipson for co-directing, Ann Price for managing the craft station for younger participants, and Virginia Phan for assisting with costumes. In addition, Alma High School's technical theatre students, under the guidance of Steven Sellers and Paul Sieminskie, worked behind the scenes to ensure the success of the show.

FFA Members Visit Camp Couchdale
Alma FFA members, Allie Houck and Hailie Peppers, had a fantastic time at Camp Couchdale this week! During their stay, they honed their leadership skills, connected with other members, and engaged in some friendly competition. Allie shared that her most cherished memory from this week was the insightful small group sessions with FFA peers and participating in team-building activities. Hailie expressed that the highlight of the week was realizing her ability to support others beyond just taking action, by uplifting those around her. Now, they are excited to apply the valuable lessons they learned this week back at home!
FFA Officer Retreat
The Alma FFA team is always on the move! Some members enjoyed a week at Camp Couchdale, while others headed to Branson for an FFA Officer Retreat. During their time in Missouri, they worked on creating a diverse and engaging Program of Activities for the upcoming school year, blending planning with enjoyment. We are excited to see the incredible achievements this group will make in the year ahead.
