GSACRD Voice - MENTAL HEALTH WEEK!
Healthy Friendships, Healthy Boundaries
We all want our kids to be happy, healthy, kind, and surrounded by positive, supportive people. Although we can’t control the future, we can teach our kids what healthy friendships and healthy boundaries look like. We can teach them to:
Choose friendships that make them feel good. Friendships need to be filled with respect, understanding and lifting each other up.
Set boundaries that are firm and respectful. It’s okay to ask for space and it’s okay to say no when they want to or if something makes them feel uncomfortable.
Make choices that are right for them. Listening to their intuition and making decisions that feel true to who they are.
Taking time for themselves. Practicing self-care when learning to regulate their emotions is very important.
Speaking up when things feel uncomfortable. Being honest to their friends and to themselves when something doesn’t feel right.
Like different things than their friends do, being unique is a beautiful thing! Encourage them to be who they are without thinking of what others may think of them.
Check out Big Life Journal’s printable on “Healthy Friendships Look Like…” to help you spark conversations about healthy friendships and healthy boundaries in a fun and engaging way!

Student Absences, Appointments and Early Pickup
Please enter ALL your child's absences on safe arrivals. Some examples include vacation, illness, appointments, or needing to leave early. Ensuring your child's attendance is accurately recorded is essential for us to provide the best educational experience.
Please visit our website (Click HERE) for detailed instructions under the MENU.
Ongoing Reporting - Viewing your students marks
We encourage all parents to use PowerSchool as a tool to remain informed about student progress. Questions or concerns about student assessments should be directed to your child's homeroom teacher. Interviews to discuss student progress will continue to be a valuable opportunity for collaboration between home and school. In addition to this, reciprocal emails and phone calls will also be essential to maintaining a solid relationship that is focused on student success.
Please watch video on our website (Click HERE) for a step by step on how to access.
