Principal's Corner
Dear Franklin Family,
As we gear up for the upcoming week, I want to remind all our families about the significance of the upcoming state testing, known as the Florida Assessment for Instruction in Reading and the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAIR-FS / FAST).
Starting on Monday, April 29th, our students will be participating in these assessments. State testing provides us with valuable insights into our students' academic progress and helps us tailor our instructional strategies to better meet their needs.
As parents and guardians, your support and encouragement play a crucial role in ensuring your child feels confident and prepared for these assessments. Here are a few ways you can help:
Encourage a Positive Mindset: Remind your child that these tests are an opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills. Encourage them to stay positive and do their best
Ensure Adequate Rest and Nutrition: Help your child get plenty of rest the night before each testing day. A well-rested and nourished mind is better equipped to focus and perform at its best.
Provide a Supportive Environment: Create a quiet and comfortable study space for your child to review materials and complete homework. Minimize distractions to help them concentrate.
Emphasize the Importance of Effort: Reinforce the idea that effort and perseverance are key to success. Let your child know that you are proud of their hard work, regardless of the outcome.
Stay Informed: Familiarize yourself with the testing schedule and any additional resources provided by the school. Stay in touch with your child's teacher for updates and guidance.
Remember, your involvement in your child's education is invaluable. By working together as a team, we can support our students in achieving their full potential.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns about the upcoming state testing, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Your Proud Principal, Sergio Delgado

Educator Spot Light
Mr. Harold Benoit
From the moment students step into Mr. Benoit, AKA Mr. B's classroom, they are greeted with warmth and encouragement. With a smile on his face Mr. B welcomes each student as a unique individual, celebrating their strengths and nurturing their potential. His passion for mathematics is palpable, igniting a spark of curiosity and excitement in even the most reluctant learners. But Mr. B's influence extends far beyond the realm of numbers and equations. He recognizes the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, where every student feels valued and empowered.
As he continues to inspire and empower the minds of future generations, his legacy will endure as a shining example of the profound impact that one individual can have on the lives of many and we are so lucky to have him as one of our Franklin Academy Family members!
