Happy Holidays. Here comes 2025!
Greetings Webber Elementary Parents and Students,
Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones. I truly hope that these next few weeks are filled with joy and provide plenty of opportunities to connect with family and friends. For those venturing elsewhere during break, safe travels to you. Whether seeking rest and relaxation - or adventure - be sure to enjoy every second of it. Make some memories that will last a lifetime.
As we close out 2024, I reflect on all of the great work that has been accomplished, lessons learned, success, and achievement. Thus far, my first year at the helm has exceeded all expectations. Webber isn't a great school because of a rich curriculum, quality programs, or nice facilities - those things certainly do help. Rather, Webber is a great school because of the people. Our staff work exceptionally hard to give students a top-notch learning experience, and that is something that I am very proud of. Likewise, our students are the best! Their enthusiasm and eagerness make them a delight to our educators. That's something that you as parents should be very proud of.
As you probably understand, during the next few weeks, our teachers are also traveling and spending time with their families. I've been very firm and deliberate , encouraging them to unplug and disconnect from their work. Emails and phone calls will be returned once staff return on January 6. So, if possible, please hold off on sending any messages until then. For anything urgent, you can always reach out to me at anthony.palmeri@lok12.org. Our next newsletter will be published on Friday, January 10.
Another trip completed around the Sun, we welcome the year 2025. Happy Holidays. Happy New Year!

Staff Recognition - Distinguished Dragon
Throughout the school year, if you would like to recognize a staff member from Webber, we encourage you to submit a Distinguished Dragon nomination. The intent of the Distinguished Dragon program is to ensure that staff members who go above and beyond their regular duties are appreciated. The additional effort or support can range from helping an individual to helping a group or any effort that seems worthy of praise.
The staff member can be nominated by a student, parent, community member or a colleague by completing the form at LakeOrionSchools.org/DistinguishedDragon. We ask for the submitter's name and contact information to follow up with specific questions if necessary. Please make sure to select the appropriate school/department form so the message is routed in the proper direction.
Please complete the form entirely so the individual can be appropriately honored for their contributions.
