The Cardinal Connection
Weekly Update for Cardinal O'Connell ELC
Friday December 6, 2024
Hello Cardinal Community,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend.
We were happy to welcome everyone back and begin the month of December! It is exciting to see the first snow flakes of the season. Winter is here! If your child is in need of a winter coat, we still have some here at the Cardinal.
On Wednesday, our staff had the opportunity to attend professional development in first aid/cpr, augmentative and alternative communication and autism spectrum disorder. It was a great day for all.
Today, your child's report card will be issued. Please check backpacks and let us know if you have any questions. Rooms 2 and 8 (Miss Nicole and Miss Jessica) may delayed as the system is not accessing the correct forms. We are working with central office to get those corrected as soon as possible!
Below are reminders about when to keep your child home if they aren't feeling well, important dates coming up, and curriculum activities.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Kerry Wilcox
Principal at the Cardinal

Home School Connection
From Module 3: We all Live Somewhere
In the classroom, we chant "Who Took the Cookie from the Cookie Jar?" using teachers' and children's names to help children to recognize their names and other words in print. Have fun saying this chant at home using names of people in your family!
News you can use!
