Weekly Wrap Up

Good Afternoon, Maple Place and Happy FriYAY!

I can't believe that winter break is upon us and 2023 is coming to a close. It was a very festive day here at Maple Place. One that began with our annual 8th grade carolers, continued with holiday pajama day, and lots of fun holiday activities such as our 5th grade Gingerbread house building activity. It was definitely a fun day filled with holiday cheer!

As our calendar year comes to an end, I wish you and your families a restful holiday break filled with memory making. Enjoy your time together - bake cookies, watch holiday movies, enjoy your family traditions, and take time to relax with each other.

If you haven't done so already, please be sure to take a look at Dr. Godlesky's December Update which was sent out earlier today.

On the last day before winter break, it is tradition for our 8th graders to serenade the hallway with festive holiday caroling. Today was no exception as our 8th graders took to the risers to spread some holiday joy.

Today our fifth graders participated in a Gingerbread House STEM project where they were able to combine their learning with a little fun!

This year's Governor's Educator of the Year for Maple Place Middle School is Mrs. Corey Billy! Mrs. Billy works as a special education teacher in fifth grade. This year's Education Services Professional of the Year is Mr. Andrew Becker who works as a paraprofessional at Maple. Congratulations to these amazing educators!

Shore Regional High School Honors Placement Assessments for our current 8th graders will be administered during the month of March. If you would like your child to take any of the placement assessments being offered, please click on the link below for more information. The students will need to register in order to take a placement assessment. The link for registration is below, and it is also included within the information provided in the first link.
