SPEHS Cardinal Call
East Parent/Caregiver October 13, 2024
Greetings East High School scholars, families, and caregivers,
Greetings SPEHS Scholars, Caregivers, Family, and Friends,
We are looking forward to a very exciting Homecoming Week this week. We have another Spirit Week this week for Homecoming. DECA will also be hosting events on Monday and Wednesday evening. Tickets are available on Go Fan for those events. Please join us for the parade (route linked below) on Thursday starting at 6 pm. We will be running a shortened schedule on Friday so that all scholars can attend our Homecoming pep rally. We hope many of you will join us at the football game at Ashley Field on Friday at 7pm, as our Cardinals take on the DeForest Norskies for the final regular season game. We will finish Homecoming Week with the dance on Saturday evening. See below for more details on Homecoming.
On Tuesday, we will have picture retakes for any student that has not yet taken an ID picture or needs a retake. Seniors who have not yet taken a picture in a graduation gown for this year's composite Senior phot will also take their pictures on this day.
We continued to honor Hispanic Heritage Month with a Spirit Week this week and by announcing significant culturally significant facts every day. Thank you to Priscilla Garner for leading our Hispanic Student Union and for taking members to a variety of events during this month.
Next week, we will be hosting conferences on Thursday evening and Friday morning. Scholars are encouraged to attend conferences with parents/caregivers. These will be happening in person or virtually. Staff will be sending out communication on how to sign up later this week.
Do not hesitate to get in touch with the main office if you have any questions or concerns. You can get help from our administrative assistants to find the correct administrator.
Regards,
Renee Coleman, Principal
Chrissy Mitlyng, Associate Principal
Rachel Looper, Associate Principal
