Board of Education Vacancy
Our Board of Education invites Raritan Township residents to apply to fill a vacant seat on the Board through December 31, 2020. An applicant must be able to read and write; hold U.S. citizenship and one year's residency in Raritan Township; have no interest in any contract with or claim against the Board; not hold office as mayor or member of any municipal governing body within the District; be registered to vote in Raritan Township and not be disqualified as a voter under N.J.S.A. 19:4-1; and satisfy a criminal history background check pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1.
Candidates should mail a resume and cover letter to: Flemington-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education, attn.: Mrs. Linda Benz, 50 Court Street, Flemington, NJ 08822 or via email to lbenz@frsd.k12.nj.us. The deadline for submitting a resume and cover letter is Friday, July 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The Board anticipates interviewing candidates on July 27, 2020, at the Board’s monthly scheduled meeting. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom, as the board is meeting virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Summer Meal Availability
Parents can click on this link, enter their home address and search the USDA database to find where the nearest site is for them to receive free meals. Please view these flyers: Summer Food Service and en espanol. The Salvation Army, located at 40 East Main Street, Flemington, can provide meals to families from July 7 through August 27. Their phone number is (908) 237-9008. They are open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The Flemington Food Pantry, located at 154 Route 31, Flemington, can also assist families in need of meals during the summer. Their phone number is (908) 788-5568. They are open Monday through Thursday, 9-11:30 a.m., select Wednesday evenings from 5:30-8 p.m. and select Saturdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
