ATTENTION ALL BAND STUDENTS!
Mr. Moody is asking all 8th grade students to turn in their school band instruments no later than Saturday June 22nd after the parade! This is important so that repairs and cleaning can be done over the summer.
6th & 7th grade band students not returning to band must turn in their instruments by Monday June 17th. Any student returning to H.P. in band for the fall, may keep their school instrument over the summer.
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL LAPTOP CARE AND RETURNS
Returning middle school students will keep their laptops at home during the summer. Please keep your devices in a safe place, away from liquids and keep with its charger. It is recommended to turn the computer on and login once a month. Students should restart their computer the week before school begins to ensure the device receives any necessary updates that are pushed out over summer.
Incoming sixth graders will be assigned a device from their middle school at the start of the 2024-25 school year.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL FAIR AUGUST 23
The annual back-to-school event is for all grades and all schools in our district and will be held Friday, Aug. 23, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Mariner High School. Families will have the opportunity to visit school tables, learn about district programs, meet community partners in healthcare, education, social support services, receive school supplies (supplies limited to MSD students attending the fair) and more!
With an event this large, we could use some help with a variety of tasks including stuffing school supplies into backpacks before the event, distributing them during the event, directing traffic, checking in other volunteers and more. If you can spare an hour or more, please sign up to help on this online form. Volunteers help make this a hugely successful event for all families!
IMMUNIZATION AND SPORTS PHYSICAL CLINICS
Now is the time to get students ready for school and sports! Mukilteo School District is partnering with the Community Health Center in South Everett to provide dedicated appointment times for students in our district to receive sports physicals, immunizations and well-child checks this summer. These services are provided at no cost to families. They will bill insurance if available, but families will not receive a bill.

- June 19, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (school holiday)
- June 20, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- July 25, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- July 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Aug. 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you are going for a sports physical, please bring the district's required form with you. If you have vaccine records from another state or country, please bring them with you.
SUMMER MEALS
Meals will be available at no charge for children 18 years of age and younger at the following locations this summer: June 24-July 12 (no service July 4-5): Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center, 9:15-9:45 a.m. (breakfast) and 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. (lunch)
June 25-28: Walter Hall Park soccer camp, 8-9 a.m. (breakfast) and 12-12:30 p.m. (lunch)
July 1-Aug. 1 (Mondays-Thursdays with NO service July 4): Walter Hall Park, 11 a.m.-12 p.m. (lunch only)
July 8-Aug. 1 (Mondays-Thursdays): Challenger Elementary School, 8-8:30 a.m. (breakfast) and 10:20-10:40 a.m. (lunch)
July 8-Aug. 1 (Mondays-Thursdays): Voyager Middle School, 8-8:20 a.m. (breakfast) and 10:20-11:05 a.m. (lunch)
Meals will also be available to students attending the following programs:

- Register online—go to the HP school website and click on “Athletics” and complete the online registration in Final Forms (parent & student portions):

ATTENDANCE
Early Pick-Up Procedure
Regular attendance is crucial for students' academic success. We encourage families not to schedule appointments during school hours, although we understand that it may be unavoidable at times. If you need to pick up your student early from school, we require some time to retrieve them from their class. Kindly notify us at least ONE DAY PRIOR by calling (425)366-5105, or emailing HPAttendance@mukilteo.wednet.edu with:
- Your student's name
- Date & time of student's pick up
- Reason for leaving school early
Provided with sufficient advance notice for pick-up, we will have your student waiting for you at the main office at the specified time, saving you from waiting.
PRE-ARRANGED ABSENCES
We would like to remind you that for vacation/travel absences, a Pre-Arranged Absence Form must be filled out and returned to Student Services at least one week prior to travel. If you know that your student will be absent, please ask them to get a form from Mrs. James in Student Services or print it out at the link below. Your student will need to bring the form to each of their classes for teacher signatures, then collect a parent's signature before returning it to Student Services.
STUDENT DROP-OFF
Unless you have an arrangement with the school, please DO NOT drop-off students in the main parking lot during the bus turn-around from 7:35 AM to 8:30 AM.
For the safety of our students, the main parking lot is reserved for school bus drop-off only at that time. All student drop-offs must take place in the back parking lot. We appreciate your support in ensuring the safety of our students!

Operation School Bell provides clothing to students who demonstrate financial need and attend schools in Snohomish County. McKinney – Vento Act
Are you living in or moving to a temporary place due to loss of housing or economic hardship? Did you know that if where you are staying is not fixed, regular and adequate, you may qualify for extra support from your school?
Students have a right to finish the school year at their school of origin. Contact your school if you think you might qualify for services. Learn more about the McKinney-Vento program here.

SUN BUCKS SUMMER EBT PROGRAM
Students who are eligible for free & reduced lunch may receive SUN BUCKS this summer to help with food. There is a one-time payment of $120 for each eligible child on a dedicated SUN bucks card. The cards will be issued starting in mid-June through end of August and will expire 122 days from date of issuance. Sun Bucks card is similar to P-EBT cards of the past and will be sent separate from SNAP benefits. For more information, please visit the "Washington SUN Bucks Summer EBT Program" page.
DO YOUR STUDENTS OWE FEES AND FINES?
Our bookkeeper, Ms. Gish, would like you to check if your students have fees and fines. There might be charges for lost/damaged books, club fees, or athletic uniforms that were not returned. Any fines and fees carryover from year to year. It’s best to clear these up now. Please click HERE to check your student’s account.

Sodexo delivers healthy and delicious school meals based on the USDA’s nutrition guidelines so that students are engaged and ready to learn in school. All meals include a variety of fresh fruit and vegetable choices, and a variety of chilled non-fat or low-fat milk.
