I would like to say that I am thrilled to start another school year at MTE. I have served this school community for 17 years and look forward to my 18th year here at MTE. Here at MTE we work hard to provide a safe environment so that our students can excel in both their academic and social needs.

2023 - 2024 KCS Meal Information The Kanawha County Schools system is operating under the Community Eligibility Program and will continue to provide free meals to all students enrolled in KCS. No free or reduced meal applications are currently needed to be submitted from any parent or guardian.

Welcome back to all the returning students and welcome to all the new students to Midland Trail Elementary.

School is ready for opening day!

We will be hosting a Title I open house on 8/15 for all parents/ guardians/ students from 3:00-6:00pm. Hope to see you there!

First Day Friday August 16th for all K-5th grade students
First day Monday August 19th for Pre-K students
All visitors must sign in and receive a visitors badge at the office
Arrival time is 7:00-7:30 the tardy bell rings at 7:30am
Dismissal is 2:00 (we ask that all sign-outs happen before 1:45)
Please don't block driveways in Diamond
Only students that live in Diamond are considered walkers
Parent/ Dr. notes must be turned in no later than 3 days after return no exceptions
Please allow your child to ride the bus if at all possible
Attendance Matters please make appointments for after school or days off if at all possible
We have an open door policy- please let us know if we can help in anyway
