As the next step in our newly develop School Council our newly elected council met with the sixth and seventh grade classes to seek student nominations for Class Representative. Over the past couple of weeks students created poster, campaigned for election and today candidates presented speeches to their class on why they would best represent the class. All of the candidates presented strong arguments on how they would work to make Andrews the best community to attend school. After all of the speeches students voted for the representative. We are pleased to announce the elected officials.

Our 7th grade reps are Hallel Cohen-Goldberg & Joshua Periera

Our 6th grade reps are Jack Lindaman & Maxelene Collins

All students as part of their exploratory program will attend Skate Day at the Laconte Rink. Students will walk to the rink escorted by staff both ways, and skate for 1.5 hours. This is always a fun time for the students and an opportunity to skate with classmates. In addition the PTO will provide concessions for sale and most items will be $1.00. Students must have a signed permission slip to attend and received these in homeroom earlier this week. Permission slips must be returned by December 16th.

There is a mandatory meeting for parents only. If a parent attended the fall orientation they should just attend the coaches meeting 6:30 - 7

Spirit wear is expected at the beginning of next week. The current plan is to hand the orders to students in homeroom or lunch. If you purchased an order as a gift and do not want your student to know of the order, and you have not previously let a member of the PTO know please contact us to let us know on Monday. We will work with any family to pick up their orders when we have more information.
