Montclair Elementary follows the School Wellness Policy (6140) and the Smart Snack Standards for Foods provided by the FDA.

Please be aware that we are very excited to celebrate the holidays and upcoming birthdays. However, all food and drinks must follow the Smart Snack Guidelines. No outside food items, including fast food, cupcakes, cakes, candy, etc., will be brought into the school building.

Some suggestions are to bring in fruit (various precut up apples, small oranges, or different types fruit such a platter), vegetable trays, fruit snacks, individuals packaged cheezits, gold fish, fruit cups, jello cups, fruit bars, granola bars, pop tops, pretzels, popcorn, juice boxes, and water flavoring with water bottles.

Every minute in the classroom matters. When students attend school every day and arrive on time, they stay on track and get the most out of every learning opportunity. Let’s make each day count!

Students brought to school after 8:30am will need to be checked in by a parent for safety concerns since staff is no longer on duty as instruction has begun.

Please ensure that you are openly communicating with your child's teacher any changes at the home, if your student is having an off morning, sleepy or had a busy weekend that could effect their overall mood on Monday morning. In order for our teachers and staff to be apart of your village we need to have an open line of communication so we can all be on the same page. We truly appreciate your support and could not successfully make the impact we do to without your support!

Monday, Dec.16:Holiday Socks with school uniform.

Tuesday, Dec.17:Ugly Sweater or Holiday shirt with school

uniform pants.

Wednesday, Dec18:Dress head-to-toe as a Holiday Character or Item.

Thursday, Dec19: Polar Express Day: PJ Day

Friday, Dec 20:Holiday Head gear, Necklace or Both! This will be a dress down day for all student!

Jingle Jangle Grams

We are overjoyed to welcome the holiday season and encourage kindness throughout the school for students, staff, and siblings. Students will receive a jingle bell necklace.

Students can purchase 1 for $1 or 6 for $5 ( students pay for 5 and get 1 for free).
