St. Luke Weekly SMORE
May 1, 2022
Leadership Message
Today is the third Sunday of Easter. Jesus continues to reveal himself again to his disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. He encourages them even though they did not catch any fish. He told them to cast their nets on the other side. Listening to Jesus, they caught an abundance of fish.
We remind our students to stop and listen to Jesus and recognize Him as we grow in our faith. It is our faith that sustains us among our feelings of tiredness or loneliness. Jesus accepts us where we are and he never leaves us there. Jesus is always calling us to deeper faith. He heals, He provides, and He forgives. Through Jesus, God is working on things we don’t even know about yet! We may be worried or distracted by all the things happening in our world or that we may not be able to reach our goals. Jesus tells us to STAY STRONG! Something GOOD is coming our way!
Blessings,

A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
BADMINTON NEWS
Congratulations to all our Badminton players who played in their Season End Tournament on Saturday. We are so proud of the way our students represented St. Luke. They all played with enthusiasm, spirit, determination and sportsmanship. It was a great experience for our younger players and some of our Grade 8 players made their way to the medals!
A special thank-you to our teachers, Ms. Evans, Mrs. Kroeker, Mrs. Odiobala and Mr. Hawkes who coached these students, developed their skills and brought out the love for the game. We couldn’t have done it without you!
