Weekly Message January 20-January 26, 2025
Dear Pirate Families,
I hope you had a great week, Last week the Performing Arts Department kicked off the year in style with a New Year, New Building! celebration to mark the grand opening of our brand new Performing Arts building. The festivities included an exciting Spirit Week, filled with lunchtime performances, themed days, and plenty of fun activities to get everyone involved. It was a fantastic way to commemorate this milestone and kick off to amazing year ahead in our brand new Performing Arts.
Thank you for your continued support.

Academic Updates
SVCTE! Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Application Information
Counselor and One to One Student Meetinga: This week, our counselors will begin conducting one-on-one counseling meetings with students as part of the course selection process for the upcoming year. These meetings are an important opportunity for students to discuss their academic goals and plan their courses for next year.
SVCTE interest form for current 10th and 11th grade students: On January 16, we held our SVCTE informational Session with the SVCTE rep. Slides can be accessed HERE. Information about the program offerings and PHHS process, including the interest form link can be found there. Students should ONLY complete the interest form if they would like to be considered for participation in the program for the next school year and must commit to the morning (7:30 to 10:30am) or afternoon (12:45 to 3:45pm) session, Monday - Friday. All eligible students that apply will be considered for their first, second and third choice program. Program participation is not guaranteed as there are limited spaces in the program. Please be sure to go through the ENTIRE presentation before submitting as this application is a commitment if the student is accepted. Reminder that students are limited to only 3 courses at Piedmont Hills as they will be spending the other half of their day at SVCTE, so students must be on track for graduation to apply.
The deadline to complete the SVCTE interest form is January 30. Students will be informed via email whether they were accepted into the program and we will provide the next steps.
