The weekend is HERE and the BOOSTER TEAM hopes you get to enjoy some much-deserved relaxation this weekend! • If you haven’t registered your student on mybooster.com, it’s easy to do this weekend.
• This weekend is also a great time to get a pledge for your student because we have TWO special Weekend Challenges!
• If your student gets a pledge of $2.00 per lap OR a $60.00 FLAT donation, they can earn THE Flyin’ Frisbee! AND the TOP class in each GRADE over the weekend will get a glow kit full of glow sticks for their Dance Fit!!

What is this survey?

Each year, to help improve our schools, Gwinnett County Public Schools collects feedback from our families about their school experience.

Why are families taking this survey?

The district will give the Educational Effectiveness Surveys (EES) to get feedback on nine characteristics of high-performing schools.

The GCPS District website has a new look!

The new and improved website has a cleaner design, and prioritizes the most frequently used content from the old site.

We know that the new website will take some time to get used to, so we put together "GCPS: Get to Know Our New Site" - https://www.smore.com/jzv30-gcps-website-orientation .

This will give you pointers on how to navigate the new site, and point you in the direction of our most viewed pages.

Earth Day is April 22 each year.

Camp Creek’s Earth Patrol will sell t-shirts to raise awareness of this holiday and to raise money for environmental projects. If you are interested in buying these shirts, please order online through MyPaymentsPlus by Monday, February 12, 2024.

No orders will be taken after this date at noon.

The cost is $20 for each shirt (add $$ for plus sizes -see below).

Buy a rubber duck for yourself and / or buy a duck for a friend! Support Camp Creek ES Odyssey of the Mind by letting a friend know how LUCKY you are to have them!

• Ducks purchased for friends will be delivered to their homeroom.
• Ducks will be sold March 11-14 in the Camp Creek ES Cub Cafe from 8:20 until 8:45 a.m.

We are seeking English-speaking Camp Creek parents interested in volunteering ONE hour a week for one-on-one conversation support for Camp Creek parents enrolled in our Spring Semester Adult English class. Our Cubs earn Cubby Cash for following “PAWS” at school.

Cubby Cash is awarded when students are: Practicing Good Manners, Actively Participating, Working Together, and Showing Self Control.

Cubs then get to spend their Cubby Cash at the Cubby Cash Store each month!

You can also use the wish lists to get ideas for the types of items we put in the store but purchase from your favorite stores. The wish list items will come directly to the school. Are you ready for Spirit Nights!?

What is a Spirit Night?

When a local business around Lilburn is willing to donate a portion of their profit to OUR school, when we buy from them!

How do I participate?

Go to the business hosting the Spirit Night, order and say:

“We are here for Camp Creek Elementary School’s Spirit Night!”

*Pay attention to the Weekly PAWS to see which Spirit Night is coming up.*

Thank You for supporting Camp Creek!

To allow all parents / guardians an opportunity to join us, we ask that you limit lunch visits to ONE per month.

• Please inform your child’s classroom teacher prior to your visit.
• Designated tables and picnic tables, as weather allows, will be available for lunch guests.
• Based on space limitations, we ask that you limit 2 non-student guests per visit.
• Students will not be allowed to bring a classroom friend to join them for lunch at this time.
• Visits should be reserved for special occasions – i.e. birthday, family from out of town, etc.
• Parents WILL NOT be allowed to report to recess or classroom with students following lunch.
• Please be mindful not to park in a numbered space when joining us for lunch.
  

As a best practice, we recommend you call the front office in advance of your lunch visit to make sure there are no schedule changes, special events, grab & go meals, etc. that would prevent you from being able to join your student(s) for lunch.
