Adams Elementary celebrated Bike to School Day! With the support of our dedicated local police ensuring safety every turn of the way, families and students rolled into school with enthusiasm. The turnout was fantastic, showcasing our community's commitment to health, sustainability, and fun-filled mornings. Let's keep those wheels turning and the smiles shining bright!"
Today's Flag Deck had a special treat as our 5th graders showcased their moves to the beat of 'Thunder.' Their dance performance added a burst of excitement to our morning routine, leaving everyone smiling. We send a huge thank you to our fifth-grade teachers at Adams Elementary and Coach Kyle from KT Dance Production
Adams Elementary is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous grant from Boston Scientific, which will significantly enhance our STEM program for the upcoming school year. This funding will enable us train a dedicated science/STEM specialist for Adams Elementary. This new position will provide invaluable opportunities to expand our STEM offerings for students from transitional kindergarten (TK) through 6th grade. With the grant, we will be able to implement Project Lead The Way (PLTW) modules across various grade levels, ensuring a comprehensive and hands-on STEM education.
Here are the proposed PLTW modules for the upcoming school year:
This initiative will not only bolster our science curriculum but also foster an environment where students can explore, experiment, and engage with real-world applications of science and technology. The integration of VEX Go Kits in higher grades will further enrich our students’ experience, providing them with advanced robotics and automation skills. We are deeply grateful to Boston Scientific for their support and commitment to education. Their investment in our school will have a lasting impact, inspiring young minds to explore the wonders of science and technology.
Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey to bring enhanced STEM education to Adams Elementary!

Mental Health Awareness Month was created as a way to educate the public about mental illness, raise awareness surrounding research, and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness, and celebrate recovery from mental illness. Because of misconceptions and stigma surrounding mental health issues, people often suffer in silence and don’t seek treatment for their conditions. Mental health awareness is an important initiative to improve understanding of mental health conditions and increase access to healthcare for those who need it. Did you know? Research shows that chronically absent students (students with 10% absences over the school year = 18 absences) are less likely to read on grade level by 3rd grade, are more likely to score lower on standardized tests, get suspended in middle school, and are at least four times more likely to not complete high school.
