There is a lot of interest in our summer school program. Due to high demand, Gage is full for summer and we do not have a waiting list. If that chanes, families will be notified with next steps. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to accommodate as many students as possible.

Any summer questions can be directed to Mr. Ferro.

For summer school: June 4-July 3: Noon Duty positions will be paid, two-hour positions for summer school. If you are interested, please email Mr. Ferro for details.

Students who arrive during Running Club should head straight to the track and begin walking or running. For safety and to keep the energy up, students should not be waiting by classrooms or along the fence. Let’s encourage everyone to start the day with some movement and fun!

• We want to expand our efforts of recognizing our educator colleagues (both inside and outside the classroom) beyond a once a year celebration. We will begin a monthly celebration of educators across our district and across roles through a nomination process that can be accessed via this LINK
• We encourage everyone to have access to this nomination form (colleagues, students, families, community members, etc) and will be circulating it throughout our larger community. This is how we will Live Our Values Every (LOVE) day, week, and month.

• This nomination process will be celebrated monthly. Thank you for joining us in recognizing all of the hard working staff that contribute to the education of students across San Diego!

Mark your calendars! We’re excited to invite you to our Open House on Wednesday, May 14 from 6:00–7:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity to step into your child’s world at school—see their work, explore their classroom, and celebrate their growth this year. Teachers and staff are eager to welcome you and share the learning, laughter, and milestones that have made this school year so special.

Whether you’re a returning family or new to our community, Open House is a chance to connect, ask questions, and see firsthand the vibrant learning environment your child experiences every day. We hope to see you there—bring your curiosity, your questions, and maybe even your tissues (you might get a little emotional seeing how much your child has grown!).

We need volunteers for the 5th grade End of Year party!

Volunteer commitment 11am-2:30pm on Tuesday, May 27th

We need about 8-10 more cleared campus volunteers to make this event happen.
