Spring Sports Wrap Up, Summer is on the Horizon!
This spring has been a memorable one for Grizzly Athletics and Activities! The Girls Track team joined the Softball team as District Champions at NP this school year in addition to their second straight GAC North Championship, the Girls Soccer team won its second GAC Championship in a row as well, and Freshmen baseball brought home a GAC Tourney championship as well.
The NP Band & Choir competed at the State level this year and did well bringing home a number of awards and honors. These programs continue to grow and shine here at North Point.
Our Theatre Department also had a great spring with a wonderful night of One Acts, showcasing "Masterclasses" & "A Wrinkle In Time"

Summer Impact Testing Dates (Incoming 9th graders included)
As part of our registration for High School sports, student athletes are required to take a Baseline Test, or Impact Test, prior to starting practice for the upcoming year.
All incoming Freshmen, as well as any current NPHS student who has a test that will be over 2 years old at the start of their respective sports season will need to take this test in order to be eligible for participation.
Students will need to bring their own district Chromebook to the testing site/date in order to complete the test. Here are our summer testing dates (Tests will be given in the library at 2pm on the dates listed below):
June 6
June 13
June 20
July 18
August 1
**If you do not get a test on one of these 5 testing dates, your ability to start practice on time in the fall could be affected**
Important Summer Dates (High School Students for the 2024-2025 School Year)
Please note the following dates that may help in your planning for this summer:
Building/Program Wide MSHSAA "Summer Dead Week"
- There will be no activities, workouts, or practices during this week. Facilities will be closed - June 29th-July 7th
Fall Sports MSHSAA "Dead Week" (Conditioning may still occur, but summer contact days are not allowable for MSHSAA Sports. MSHSAA Activities such as cheer, dance, and band may still have practice) - August 5th-August 11th
First Day of Fall Practice - August 12, 2024
First Day of Fall Competitions - August 29, 2024
All participants in fall sports or activities must register for fall activities. The registration will open on June 3rd and close on July 30th. This includes students who registered for cheer and dance tryouts for the spring.

Congratulations to the first winner in NP History of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Scholar Athlete Award, Beau Banze!
Beau is a three sport varsity athlete and excelled in the classroom during his time at Timberland and North Point!

Summer Youth Camps at North Point this Summer
Many sports programs at North Point offer summer camps for both youth and high school student athletes. Check out our Go Fan page for current opportunities.
Be sure to check back in periodically if you don't see a camp for a sport you are interested in, some coaches are still working out dates/times for their camps.

North Point Track
Our Boys and Girls Track programs have had awesome seasons! Both competed in the Sectional Meet at Mexico this past weekend and had amazing performances from a number of Grizzly Athletes!

The boys team had strong finishes in both the Conference and District Meet! Good luck at State this weekend!

Amazing season for these ladies, they doubled up on their GAC North Championship from last year, and added the program's first District Championship as well. Good luck in Jefferson City this weekend!

NP Girls Soccer
It was a great year for North Point Girls Soccer! The Varsity team finished the season at 17-3 and added a GAC North Championship to the trophy case. The had a great run to the district final but lost 1-0 to the three time defending State Champion FZS Bulldogs.
The JV and Freshmen teams both finished the year with winning records and competed well in every game they played in.

NP Boys Tennis
The tennis team had a strong season this year, finishing the season with an 11-7 record and a ton of improvement for a lineup that will return numerous starters next season!
Ian Malinofsky and Julian Cohen finished the district tournament in 4th place for a strong showing for the Grizzlies!

Landon Waller
Landon attacks at the net for the Grizzlies in an early season match v. Timberland. The Grizzlies brought home the win against the Wolves.

North Point hosted this year's GAC Tournament. Thanks to Coach Telker and Coach Skroblus on a great year!
North Point Baseball
It was an exciting spring for the NP Baseball Program! The Varsity program notched 12 wins in a tough GAC North Division, and capped off the regular home schedule with a Senior Night win over Elsberry.
The JV Team went undefeated in conference play at 9-0, and finished a great year with a 14-5 record!
The Freshmen Team wrapped up their season with a GAC North Freshmen Tournament Win and had a great year finishing near flawless 13-1 record!

The Boys team finished the season on a winning note, taking down conference rival Winfield in the last dual of the season. NP Golf also had a strong showing in both the conference and district tournaments.
The JV team also had a very strong showing during the regular season, finishing the year with an awesome 8-2 record!

NP Boys Volleyball
It was a memorable inaugural season for the North Point Boys Volleyball Team. They finished the season with an incredible 14 win season, and won the Nixa Tournament for first year volleyball programs!

NP Music
Band and Choir both competed at the State level this spring and had amazing individual and small group performances. The Band recently turned in an awesome spring performance, and the Choir finished up their performance season by wowing the crowd at their year ending concert.

North Point Theatre Department Wows Again This Spring!
Congrats to our student directors and everyone involved in bringing a night of one acts (A Wrinkle in Time/Masterclasses) to life earlier this spring!
Incredible performances and packed houses are becoming the norm here at North Point. Special thanks to Mr. Milhous and Mrs. Ibberson for all of your hard work and support.

In addition to the over $75,000 given back to NP Athletics and Activities, the Booster Club also helped us out for Staff Appreciation Week last week by providing our awesome staff with lunch!
2024 Swofford Memorial Basketball Game
North Point raised almost $1,500 to go toward the annual Swofford Memorial Scholarship! Congrats to the staff on their close 64-62 victory over the seniors!
