St. Louis Catholic High School - Thurs. May 22, 2025
Happy Summer!
Dear St. Louis Catholic High School Community,
As we end the 24-25 school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we have shared this past year at St. Louis Catholic High School. It has truly been a remarkable experience, filled with growth, learning, and cherished memories that we will carry with us.
I am filled with gratitude for our vibrant community—students, teachers, staff, parents, and alumni—who have all played an essential role in making this year so special. Your dedication and support have created an environment where our students can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. It has been heartwarming to witness the collaboration and camaraderie that define our school.
We have celebrated many successes, from outstanding academic achievements to unforgettable extracurricular events. The enthusiasm and spirit demonstrated during our school activities have strengthened our bonds and fostered a sense of belonging. Each student’s unique contributions have enriched our community, reminding us all of the importance of unity and teamwork.
I want to give a special thank you to our educators and staff, whose unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds has made a significant difference in our students’ lives. Your passion for teaching and willingness to go above and beyond do not go unnoticed. To the parents, grandparents, and guardians, your partnership and involvement have been invaluable as we work together to provide the best for our students.
As we look forward to the upcoming summer and prepare for the next school year, let us carry the lessons we’ve learned and the memories we’ve created. I am excited about the future and the continued growth of our St. Louis community.
Thank you once again for making this year a truly memorable one. May your summer be filled with joy, relaxation, and opportunities for new adventures.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Kelly DeMolle

SAINTS LIFE
Class of 2025 - No Demerits!
These students are some of the few seniors that have gone through high school and have NEVER had a single incident documented into FACTS for behavior purposes. That means no cell phone incidents, dress code mishaps, sleeping in class, chewing of gum, etc. So to celebrate their "Saintly" behavior, each of these students were given a St. Carlo Acutis medal as a token of St. Louis Catholic's appreciation for their awesomeness!

Congratulations to all who participated in the Million Word Reading Challenge this year and for the reading milestones you achieved! If you read ONE MILLION WORDS (see the list above), please pick up your t-shirt in the office during summer hours.

Annual Mass to Avert Storms - Friday, May 30
Bishop Glen John Provost will be the celebrant of a votive “Mass to Avert Storms” on Friday, May 30, ahead of the 2025 Hurricane Season that begins on Sunday, June 1. The annual Mass will begin at 4:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Life Center. The church hall is located at 5250 West Creole Highway, Cameron, LA 70631.
May 30 is also to be observed as a “Day of Prayer and Fasting” for safety in the Diocese of Lake Charles, asking the intercession of Our Lady Star of the Sea for protection from storms and destruction.
Immediately following, a vehicle procession will travel a short distance to the Historic Shrine of Our Lady Star of the Sea, 135 Our Lady Road, in Cameron, where the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto, blessings, and the Prayer for Protection during Hurricane Season will be recited. The Shrine has been granted the privilege of inserting the invocation of “Star of the Sea” in the Litany.
The Shrine enjoys, with papal approval, the same spiritual privileges as would a pilgrimage to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome, one of the four major basilicas in the Eternal City. The pilgrimage provides a plenary indulgence with the fulfillment of certain requirements, including recent confession, reception of Holy Communion, prayers for the Holy Father, and the recitation of the Creed.
The Historic Shrine of Our Lady Star of the Sea is one of six local pilgrimage sites designated in the Diocese of Lake Charles for the Jubilee Year 2025. Even if you cannot attend the Mass to Avert Storms, this is a good opportunity to make a pilgrimage visit to the Shrine to gain a Plenary Indulgence during the Jubilee Year. Click here for more information.
