A Busy Start to the 2024-2025 School Year!
September News
The new school year is up and running!
LHS was excited to host Back to School Night on August 22. More than 150 families attended the event and had the opportunity to tour the building and enjoy a resource fair with 18 school-based and community partners.
Among those in attendance were Student Support Services, Lansdowne Gators Wrestling, PTSA, LHS Food Pantry, Upward Bound/TRIO, Teacher Academy of MD, Baltimore County Parks and Rec, the Baltimore County Public Library, Little Free Library, the Baltimore County Department of Health, Sports Boosters, AVID, LHS Magnet Programs, City of Refuge, and the LHS Yearbook.
Special thanks to our community partners Chick-fil-A Lansdowne Station and Sorrento of Arbutus who provided food for the event.

Support Your Community School
We want to hear from you!
As a new Community School we are in the process of collecting data to identify our community needs. The goal is to gather feedback from all stakeholders, including community partners. Please take 5-10 minutes to complete the Needs Assessment Survey and share your impressions so we can use this data to better serve our Lansdowne community members and families. THANK YOU!

Vikings in Action
Golf team scores big with donation
Drive Fore The Future, a non-profit organization promoting student access to golf, donated hundreds of dollars in gear and clothing to the LHS golf team this month. Team members enjoyed new golf shoes, clothing, clubs, and bags and look forward to trying them out on the course. Want to watch our golfers in action? Their next matches are 9/24 at Fox Hollow Golf Course against Sparrows Point High School and on 9/26 against Pikesville High School at Diamond Ridge Golf Course. Matches start at 3:15.
Student Athletes Support Young Fans
Viking girls volleyball players and football players cheered for students at Baltimore Highlands Elementary School during their recent Sneak-a-Peek event. The student athletes lined the entranceway with pom poms and and clappers to welcome the elementary children and their parents.
Following the entrance and walk through the building, our athletes played games with the elementary schoolers, showed them how to hold a football, and even hula-hooped.
