A Message From Mrs. Carmody
Dear Fremont Families,
Welcome to May! It’s been a joyful and engaging week at school, full of meaningful learning and memorable moments. Our students worked collaboratively on classroom projects and were especially delighted by the mama duck and her newly hatched ducklings visiting our courtyard. These shared experiences continue to strengthen our sense of community and highlight the curiosity and care our students bring to school each day.
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. We’re grateful to work together in helping your children thrive. Wishing you a peaceful and happy weekend ahead!
With gratitude,
Beth Carmody
First graders had a blast at an in-house field trip with JG’s Reptile Show, where they learned how reptiles help keep our environment in balance. The hands-on experience gave students the chance to safely touch and hold real reptiles, making science come alive in a fun and memorable way!

Summer School Last Day to Register!
⛱️Summer Adventures in Learning (SAiL) registration is still open until May 2nd (less than two weeks away)! Please look through the entire SAiL catalog here. If you signed up for bus transportation but only registered for one of the two sessions for any given week, you will only receive one-way bus transportation. We do not have transportation between 10:25 and 10:40. Consider adding a class before or after the one you are registered for. Email Alana Davidov, adavidov@fsd79.org, if you need help with this or do not see an alternative class to register for. You will be receiving confirmation emails and schedules the first week of May after registration officially closes. Low enrollment classes will be cancelled. At that time, you will be offered alternative class choices for that time.
🌞Summer Boost registration is open as well, but currently only has spots available for incoming 5th and 6th grade students enrolling in Reading and/or Math support! This program connects your student with a teacher for Math and/or Reading support using familiar online tools we utilize throughout the year. The teacher monitors progress, sends encouragement, and offers office hours weekly. This program also works with any summer schedule; students work online at their own pace, asynchronously! (sign up here for SAiL and/or Boost)
🌞Summer Scholars is an invitation-only program. If you received an invitation, please fill out the form to deny or accept the invitation. We would like to give families on the waiting list a chance to enroll if your child is unable to attend.
🌻Multilingual and ESY program invitations have also been sent via email or phone call. Please also indicate your transportation needs when confirming your spot with your teacher.
Please reach out to Alana Davidov, adavidov@fsd79.org, Fremont Intermediate School Assistant Principal, for help or questions about Summer Boost, Summer Scholars, and SAiL!
Please reach out to Tegan Dittmer, tdittmer@fsd79.org, Fremont Assistant Director of Student Services, for any questions related to Extended School Year or Multilingual programming.
