Millis Middle School

The Online Community Forum for the Middle-High School Building project originally scheduled for this Thursday November 21 has been moved to Tuesday December 3 from 7-9 PM. During this forum members of the design team and school building committee will present updated options for the middle-high school project. Viewers will be able to submit questions for the team.

• Student, Parent & Teacher Conferences were held this week. We had a tremendous turnout. Thank you to all parents and guardians who were able to attend our student led conferences. It was a huge success!!
• Winter Sports Registrations are OPEN NOW! Please sign up to participate in winter sports- more information below!
• Term One grades will close on November 22, 2024 and report cards will be released after Thanksgiving.
• A wonderful group of 22 student leaders traveled to Bridgewater State University's Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center on November 22nd, for peer leadership training. We are so proud of our nominated students who represent our community each and every day by living our core values!

• Congratulations to Sofia Berry Tielman, who is the band student of the week!
• Great job creating a Friendsgiving to the students of 207 and Mrs. Day and Mrs. Scotland!
• Our students had a wonderful first meeting of MMS Active Minds led by Tessa Molinari. These will continue on E days during lunch.
• The MS Baking club had a tremendous showing thanks to the hard work and inspiration by MHS student Ellie and Mrs. White and Mrs. Scotland!
• Our MMS students are excited to perform in the HS production of Pygmalion tonight, they did a great job with the two preview performances they did this afternoon. A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Bartley for including our fabulous MS actors!

Our 8th Graders accepted and provided donations, prepared and decorated Thanksgiving Boxes and delivered them to the Millis Food Pantry to help those in need. Way to go GRADE 8 !!

This presentation provides valuable insights into how artificial intelligence is being used in our schools and how it can benefit your child's education. You will even hear about some ways you can use it yourself.

We believe that understanding AI is essential for families to understand in today's world and the world of our children's future.

We know for some students the beginning of a new school year can come with difficulties, including depression, anxiety, school avoidance and complex emotional and behavioral issues. The team at Riverside Mobile Crisis Intervention would like to remind everyone that we are here for all students no matter the level of concern; we are available to see people 24 hours a day anywhere in the community: at home, school, or our office. Please share our information with caretakers who may need help navigating these complex situations at home, and we are available to come into the school for in-the-moment assessment to help partner with you in navigating challenging events.
