A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPALS
Dear St. Johnsbury School Families,
Last night we joined an incredible group of 8th graders as they graduated from the St. Johnsbury School, marking the end of their middle school journey and the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in high school! Our school gymnasium was full of families, friends, faculty and staff there to celebrate our graduate's achievements and to honor each as they received their diplomas. It was a fun and bittersweet evening as we said goodbye to students who, for many, have spent the last 10 years at our school. We know that each student have an bright future ahead of them and wish them all the best in high school and beyond. These young people are our future and we know that they are going to go out and make it amazing!
Tuesday is the last day of school for this year! Students will be dismissed for summer at 12:30. We wish each of our students, their families, our faculty and staff an incredible summer full of fun, sun, relaxation and excitement! We look forward to seeing everyone and their smiles when we return to school in August!!

PHOTO HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WEEK!
Pre-K met with Miss Nancy and Miss A this week for one last baby doll circle!
First Graders in Mrs. Ulrich's class shared their non-fiction writing about animals...
The third grade got to go on their annual field trip to Rankin Pond at the Rankin Meadow where fun AND LEARNING was had by all! We explored the pond ecosystem and observed many species- from amphibians such as newts and frogs to insects like toe biters and water scorpions! Mrs.Gillespie/Chamberlain's class came back to school in high spirits, and when they filled out an ecosystem puzzle they concluded that the Rankin Pond is a healthy pond ecosystem due to the diversity of plants, animals and decomposers living there.
Second grade had their field day on Friday! From tie-dye, to relay races, a kickball tournament, and the always enjoyable free play everyone participated and had a great time!
5th Grade visited Sugar Ridge in Danville for a day of fun!
The St. Johnsbury School Jazz Band at Burlington Jazz Fest
Speech and Physical Therapy have been running a Movement and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) group on Fridays with a group of 5th graders. It’s a blast!
For their capstone project, this group of 8th graders had a lemonade stand to raise money for NEKCA (Northeast Kingdom Community Action). They had someone come and were able to give the money directly to NEKCA.
