Earlier this week, SISD celebrated senior Dominic David who has been accepted to the United States Naval Academy. Congressman Lance Gooden appointed Dominic after a multi-stage process. Only a very select group of applicants are accepted by the Naval Academy (less than 11%). We are so proud of Dominic's hard work and we appreciate Congressman's Gooden's efforts to assist Dominic.

Our inaugural PTA Charter Meeting is set for May 28th at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Be a part of our charter group for a special, discounted membership fee!

We can't do this without help from parents and volunteers.

Your presence on this Zoom meeting is crucial as we aim to establish our PTA. Membership dues for charter members will only be $9.00, but they will increase to $50 when we open membership in the August.

We MUST HAVE a minimum of 20 individuals to attend in order to officially form our PTA with the state.

Anyone can join - parents, local business members, grandparents, teachers, local community members - ANYONE who cares about SMS and SHS students and teachers!

SMS school supplies will be posted on the SISD website in the summer.

SHS school supplies will be announced by teacher during the first week of school next fall.
