Tuesday, May 13th Periods 4 & 5 Exams (Seniors released after 5th period, Caps and Gowns distributed before school and during lunch), yearbook distribution for seniors only period 7 in gym foyer.
Wednesday, May 14th Periods 0 & 3 Exams (Seniors released after 3rd period, Senior Walk and Senior Assembly, yearbook signing/distribution for 10th and 11th)
Please be sure to bring your cap & gown to school for Senior Walk
Thursday, May 15th Periods 1 & 2 Exams (Seniors released after second)
Seniors enrolled in junior or sophomore classes will be done according to the dates above.
Tuesday, May 13th: Cap and Gown Distribution, Auditorium Foyer 7:30am - 12:30 pm.
All fines must be paid before students will receive their cap and gown. Students will receive a checkout card in their 5th period class on Monday, May 5th. This card needs to be completed and signed off by 3 departments in order to receive your cap and gown. Bring the completed card on Tuesday, May 13th.
In order to promote a sense of unity and decorum, no decoration is allowed on the cap, gown, stole, or tassel. (i.e. no leis, corsages, medallions, military stoles, etc). District provided cords are approved (Honor, CTE, Student Council, etc.). Remember to try on your caps and gowns when they arrive. If there are any issues, contact our local Jostens office, 208-343-0175, and they can help with any problems. Jostens will also be on site at our graduation rehearsal and the graduation ceremony to help with last minute emergencies.

Wednesday, May 14th: Senior Finals, Senior Walk, Senior Best, and yearbook distribution.
Seniors will attend and take finals in periods 0 & 3. Following 3rd period, seniors will report to the auditorium and put on their caps and gowns for the senior walk. Seniors will start walking the hallways during 4th period while Pomp and Circumstance plays. Students will then report to the auditorium for the Senior Best assembly.
Thursday, May 22nd: Graduation REHEARSAL, Extra Mile Arena, 10:00 am
All students participating in the graduation ceremony are required to attend the rehearsal. You do not need your cap and gown at this event. All students need to enter through the aux gym, entrance 4, at Extra Mile Arena by 9:45am. Please plan for time to park and enter the facility.
Thursday, May 22nd: Graduation, Extra Mile Arena, 7:00 pm
Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 at the ExtraMile Arena on the Boise State University campus. The ceremony will begin at 7:00pm. The doors will be open to the public at 6:00pm. Graduates will enter through the aux gym, entrance 4, and need to arrive before 6:15pm. Do not bring purses, jackets, etc. Please plan to arrive early due to parking and security. Graduation Attire: Graduation is a formal occasion. Suggested attire for male graduates is a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and dress shoes. Suggested attire for female graduates is a dress or nice top with a skirt or slacks and low-heeled shoes. Students who wear cutoffs, shorts, flip-flops and other inappropriate attire will be asked to change or not participate in the ceremony.
Thursday, May 22nd: Graduation Party at Capital, 10:30 pm - 2:30 am
The Capital High School Class of 2025 will soon be graduating. Parents of these seniors have come together to create a memorable celebration that ALL seniors are invited to attend. This event will provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment for celebration. It will include food, activities, prizes, entertainment and FUN!
The graduation celebration will be hosted on the night of graduation, May 22nd, from 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m in the Capital High School Cafeteria. There will be a $10 cost for seniors to attend. Tickets will be sold during lunch and break at designated times.
Graduation Ceremony: Graduation will be held on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2025 at the ExtraMile Arena on the Boise State University campus. The ceremony will begin at 7:00pm. The doors will be open to the public at 6:00pm.

Guests: We are thrilled to announce that there are no limits on the number of guests that may attend the graduation ceremony. Extra Mile Arena will require all guests to enter through a metal detector screening process. Please be sure to not bring prohibited items such as pocket knives or you will be asked to relinquish the item for entry. You can find more information on prohibited items and wheelchair accessibility at the link above.

On April 17th, AVID Seniors were honored at the district Senior Celebration and four Capital students were winners of scholarships:

IDAHO ENTREPRENEUR CHALLENGE WINNERS
Congratulations to Ellie Mauzerall andl Kharson Castell who placed 4th at the Idaho Entrepreneur Challenge. They were also awarded start-up money for their business Pillar Protein.
Capital Debate Winners
Congrats to Adam Santiago of the Capital Speech and Debate team! He was awarded 1st place for his Dramatic Interpretation.
Capital High School Art for Well Being
Kindergarten and 1st grade students at Valley View Elementary drew and colored "monsters" or
"creature" for Capital's Art for Wellbeing students to turn into three dimensional plushies using various fiber art material and processes. Here are some fun pics of Capital students delivering the finished products.

CHS BAND NEWS
Congratulations to the Capital High Band Program! The jazz ensemble and the symphonic band both received top ratings (superior) at their spring festivals. Their performances were very musical as they performed multiple challenging selections. The following students will also be competing at the State Solo and Ensemble competition the first weekend of May in Pocatello, ID.

2025 CAPITAL BOYS BASKETBALL CAMP
Capital Boys Basketball is hosting a summer camp for athletes going into 3rd - 8th grade in the fall of 2025. It's one of the only "ALL DAY" basketball camps in the valley and will feature drills, competitions and team events with the Capital athletes.
WHEN: June 2nd - 5th from 9:00 to 2:30 pm at Capital High School
Lunch and snacks are not provided, but will be available for purchase.
