Welcome to the Pennridge School Board monthly update. To foster better communication with the public we are providing a monthly executive summary of our actions. These are highlights of this month's Board meeting.

Each month, we will also include links to specific times of the video of our meeting to help you navigate to specific areas of interest. I hope you find this information useful and easy to access.

We welcome feedback from the public and the School District welcomes you at the meetings and invites you to participate in the meetings' public comment sections.

• The Board Approves a Balanced 2024-2025 General Fund Proposed Final Budget.

• The Pennridge School District has been named one of "Pennsylvania's Great Schools" by the Pennsylvania School Board Association and at this meeting, we officially accepted the honor!
• The Annual "April Showers" Event Raises Thousands for Special Olympics and Raises the Spirit of Pennridge!
• Carmine Galante is Pennridge's "Most Influential Social Media Influencer" and so much more!
• The Pennridge Fishing Club Reels in some much deserved accolades!
• Ben Swartley is a National Merit Scholarship Winner!

The Pennridge School District is A GREAT School District!

After an extensive process, we were recently notified that Pennridge received the "Great Pennsylvania Schools" (GPS) designation which recognizes Pennsylvania public schools that provide students with access to rigorous programming, are community-centric, demonstrate financial well-being, and display resilience by the Pennsylvania School Board Association.

The Great PA Schools honor distinguishes Pennridge as one of the best districts in Pennsylvania based on a variety of factors and we retain this honor for 4 years, 2024-2028.

Pennridge continues its inclusionary practices, including Unified Physical Education classes, Unified Track and Field and Unified Bocce teams and whole school engagement activities, like April Showers.

With the help of five of our local Fire Departments who turn on their hoses- hundreds of Pennridge students donate to Special Olympics for a chance to get soaked under the "showers!"

• The School Board Approves a Motion to Seek New School Bus Replacements for the 2024-2025 School Year.

• The School Board Approves the 2024-2025 Pennridge School District General Fund Proposed Final Budget

• The School Board Approves a Motion to Retire Policy #720, Restrooms and Locker Room facilities effective August 1, 2024 with the Consideration of an Administrative Regulation.
