Dear Parents/Carers,
Happy Easter!
Another busy week to round off the term…
It was great to see some of our families at church last week for Mothering Sunday. It was a lovely service – we sang songs, the children made surprise bunches of flowers and had drawn pictures of their mums/nannas/grandmas/aunties to go up on the big screen. It was a really family friendly service and I’m looking forward to Father’s Day celebrations in church in June where I hope you will join us.
I’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all of the parents and carers for coming in to watch the Year 2 and 3 Easter play. The songs were beautiful and the words were clear – they did a super job! Thanks to all of the staff for the extra work they have done to make this play a success.
Carson and Newton had a very successful trip to Murton Park on Thursday. They were a credit to school and the staff commented on what an enjoyable day they’d had. Thank you for shining your light!
Thursday also saw the children go to church for the Easter service. They sang songs and performed different parts of the Easter story. Rev Paulie led the school in reflections and prayer.
Well done to all of our children and thanks to staff for all of their hard work this term. It’s always a tricky one after Christmas but they have shown resilience and kindness throughout.
Have a wonderful Easter and see you when we return on Tuesday 22nd April.
