Updates for Flanagan High School
Principal Message | April 2025
Falcon Pride, Falcon Nation, One Flanagan Family
Happy Monday. I am extremely excited to share the amazing recent accomplishments of our Flanagan scholars with our community. Our staff and scholars are trending in the right direction academically as we prepare for upcoming high stakes assessments.
Our 9th and 10th grade scholars are preparing for FAST PM 3 in Reading / ELA, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Biology. Our 11th grade students are prepping for the US History EOC. Various grade levels are preparing for Cambridge / AICE, AP, Dual Enrollment, SAT, and ACT examinations. At the same time, we are celebrating both academic, athletic, and social emotional successes. I am very proud of our Flanagan culture.
Parents, please pay close attention to our testing calendar as we encourage you to prepare your child for the highest academic achievements and growth possible. I thank you on behalf of Flanagan staff for remaining resilient and communicating with both your child and our first-class staff. Remember, "Falcon Pride, Falcon Nation, One Flanagan Family"!!
I am very proud of our amazing Flanagan Falcon Assistant Principals. It has been a great year together. “Falcon Pride, Falcon Nation, One Flanagan Family”!!

You've Been Talon'd
You've been Talon'd is a positive behavior recognition program where students are recognized by their teachers and staff for going above and beyond. For the first round, 106 students were recognized for doing something great and were submitted to win Talon'd gear!
Students were recognized for several different reasons, some of them including:
"Holding the door for students"
"Helping a student on crutches"
"Showing a new student to their classes"
"Tutoring other students"
"Exceptional politeness"
... and the list goes on!
Round 2 is up and running, so encourage your Falcons to excel each day and always take care of their fellow human beings!
Keep up the great work and continue your flight to excellence!
Congratulations to the 50 students and 16 teachers selected at random to win this round's Talon'd gear! Stop by Mrs. Jack's office in Student Affairs with your ID to pick up!
