A gentle reminder to parents that fees for the 2024-2025 school year are live on the PowerSchool ParentPortal. As with Progress Reports, they are only viewable on a browser (not through the app). (Returning Student Forms are also much easier to complete on a browser than through the app!)

Fees are payable online using a MasterCard or Visa (it won't accept Debit or Visa Debit or any other credit cards, and PowerSchool adds on a 2.4% surcharge), or you can pay with cash or cheques (including post-dated cheques) in the school office. Payments can be made for as much or as little as you like; you don't need to pay off the entire balance in full at once.

All parents should have a ParentPortal; if you need help accessing yours please call the front office at 780-459-3114 (or visit in person) and we will be happy to assist you.

Instructions for parents:

1. Fill out envelope sent home with your child. Indicate each person your child will be shopping for and how much you want your child to spend on each person (see example on the envelope).
2. Look on the KPA Facebook Page to get a sense of what items are being sold this year.
3. Send your child to school with the total cash amount that you have budgeted (bear with us, we are trying to move away from cash for next year).
4. After the workshop, receive a cloth bag with all of your child’s purchases (which will be wrapped and labeled). Any leftover change will be returned to you inside of your child’s original shopping envelope.
   

To volunteer at the workshop:

1. Sign up on the Google Forms, for which hyperlinks have been sent out via email (this is preferred)
2. Alternately, email the KPA at keenoparents@gmail.com
3. Volunteer hours are (You can sign up for any or all timeslots):

• Wednesday 12:00pm – 4:00pm (this is set-up only)

• Thursday 8:45am – 12:00pm

• Thursday 12:00pm to 3:30pm

• Friday 8:45am – 12:00pm

• Friday 12:00pm to 3:30pm

Please note that only roll-up plastic sleds are allowed at Kinosayo. Any sort of sled brought in that isn't a roll-up plastic one will not be allowed, and parents will be required to come and pick it up from the school. Also a gentle reminder to parents to send your children with mitts/snowpants/etc to be ready for any weather. Even if you don't think it will snow during the day, the weather can always surprise so it's better to send your child to school prepared! (If you do not have the resources to purchase winter coats and mittens at this time, please reach out to Mrs. Gonsalvez, and the school will arrange getting some for you.)
