Get Involved in campus Clubs & Organizations
The BEST way to be part of Jaguar Nation is to get involved. FMHS has many different clubs and organizations that 9th-12th grader students can join. Check out the main clubs list and make plans to attend the 1st meetings of the year. Information can also be found posted in the CLUB HUB located on the bulletin board at the doors to Main Campus.
IMPORTANT STAR UPDATE: PAPER VERSION
2024 December STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) Paper by Request:
House Bill 1225 provides a optional process for school districts to provide a paper administration of a STAAR assessment to any student whose parent, guardian, or teacher requests a paper version. A request for a paper administration of December STAAR EOC exam(s) must be submitted by 4 PM on September 15th and will be considered on a first come, first serve basis. The number of students who are provided a Paper by Request administration of STAAR may not exceed 3% of the number of eligible students testing. Applicants will be notified of status by 4 PM on October 4, 2024.

El proyecto de ley 1225 proporciona un proceso opcional para que los distritos escolares provean una administración en papel de una evaluación STAAR a cualquier estudiante cuyo padre, tutor o maestro solicite una versión en papel. Una solicitud para una administración en papel de la/las evaluación/es STAAR EOC debe presentarse antes de las 4 PM del 15 de septiembre y se considerará por orden de llegada. La cantidad de estudiantes a quienes se les proporciona una administración de STAAR en papel por solicitud no puede exceder el 3% de la cantidad de estudiantes elegibles que toman la prueba. ASVAB Test is offered once a year at FMHS to Juniors and Seniors only.
The test is Free to students.

**Seniors who have not done their portraits: If you do not sign up for the September 7 date, you will have to get your photos done at CADY's office in Grapevine. There will not be any more opportunities offered at FMHS.**

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
On behalf of a collaboration between Lewisville ISD Student Engagement & Diversity and the BIL/ESL Department, we invite you to join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month on Thursday, September 19, 2024, 6-8pm at Lewisville High School (Come & Go Event). The theme for this year is ¡Juntos Celebramos! Together We Celebrate! Registering for this event will be very helpful in gauging participation due to space accommodations.

Student Drop Off and Pick Up
This is a reminder of our lots that are designated for student drop off. You can find those lots by accessing the attachment. The designated drop off lanes are marked in yellow. DO NOT use the lanes marked in red. We appreciate your assistance in helping us make our drop-off and pick up times safe and efficient for all.
Proper pick up and drop off locations for FMHS:
- West Parking Lot (Senior Lot / Auditorium Entrance, off Peter’s Colony Rd) – please drop off and pick up in this location.
- South Parking Lot (Football Field / South Field House, off Old Settlers Rd.) – you may pick up and drop off at this location also. (not shown on the map)
Areas that are Prohibited for Student Pick up or Drop off:
- Bus Loop / Faculty Parking area off Old Settlers Rd.
- Front Office Loop / Faculty and Guest Parking area off of Peter’s Colony – this is an area for drop off only for students with special physical needs & injuries (crutches / wheelchair / etc...)
- Baseball/Softball/Tennis off Peter’s Colony Rd. – this is ONLY drop off for athletes who have 1st period athletics in this area. Parking is only for softball, baseball, and tennis athletes.
There is a significant safety concern for our students and staff when these guidelines are not followed.

ALL Vehicles that park on campus must have a current parking sticker. This includes seniors that have purchased a painted or numbered parking spot. Students need to make sure they park in designated student parking lots.
When the parking pass is assigned to the student, an email will be sent to the student's LISD email, and the student may pick up the parking pass in the front office.
Absences/Tardies
Parents no longer need to fill out the pre-planned absence form for trips. Please see below for information about absences.

If you are picking up in person, please allow 15-20 minutes for student checkout process. We may not be able to accomodate end of day walk-ins.
Parent/Guardian emails (from the email address we have on file) may also be accepted on the morning of early release. Please allow 2 hours for possible system holdups and include legal name of student, student ID number, exact time leaving, and reason for leaving.
**IMPORTANT TARDY POLICY: Students are allowed one tardy per semester.
- 2nd tardy results in detention.
- 7th tardy WED/SAT School.
- 10th tardy ISS.

ID Badge Information
Parents/Students:
- Students will NOT be allowed in the building without a current ID around their neck.
- $5.00 will be assessed in Skyward every time a student has to purchase a new ID from the front office.
- Parents can access/pay fees by clicking on "Fee Management" in Skyward Family Access, full website version - not the app. Payments will only be accepted online.
- Fees can also be found in your LISD RevTrak Account select 1:X & Skyward Fee Payments
- Please contact your child's Assistant Principal if you need to pay by cash or check.

NOTE: If you volunteer at BOTH FMHS and FM9, you MUST designate BOTH campuses!
