Hello Families -
We are excited for the quickly approaching 2024-2025 school year and to have the energy and enthusiasm of our students back in the building! We are looking forward to our Back to School Night and meeting and reconnecting with all of our students and families:
4K-5th grade - Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 28th from 5:30-7pm. You can expect to meet your teacher and drop off any supplies at that time. We look forward to seeing everyone then!
As we think about Back to School, right now is a great opportunity to take some time to think through and plan out your school year routines. Kids (and adults) thrive with predictable routines and structures. I encourage you to sit down as a family and think through the following:
Before and after school routines
Bedtime and AM Wake up times
Drop off/pick up
After school activities
Lunches and snacks
Sitting down now and involving your child in the process is essential for building their independence and ownership in their learning and home community. I highly suggest looking at your child’s bedtime and wake up time right now and if it doesn’t match what they need for school, start going to bed/waking up 10-15 minutes earlier every couple of days until it matches your school year times. I also suggest looking at the lunch menu together each month to decide when your child will have hot lunch and when they will have cold lunch. Allowing your child to assist you in making a shopping list for those cold lunches and snacks so you know they’ll eat what is packed each day is an easy way to involve and empower them!
Lastly, you know your child best. If they have a hard time picking out clothes, start doing that the night before so it doesn’t make for a hard morning. If they really enjoy tv/device time, make sure you have a plan in place for when and how much they’ll be able to use it on school nights and start following that now so it’s not an argument come September. A quick google search will give you endless visual options if a visual schedule is something that will help your family or child with those daily routines. Setting those routines now and spending the next two weeks working on them will ease your child’s return to a full day of learning!
Sincerely,
Ashley Imperiale

This form can be turned into your school's main office.
In addition, all medication can be dropped off at school in its original container.
SNACKS & CLASSROOM BASED FOOD
Please remember to pack a snack each day for your child. Snacks allowed must follow the District Wellness Policy, meaning that your child may choose to bring in fruits, vegetables, cheese, yogurt, meat, pretzels, popcorn, and goldfish crackers unless nursing services and/or building administrator discretion warrants further limitations.
Additionally, It is highly suggested that children wanting to celebrate their birthdays and holidays do so with non-food items. Please consider sending non-food items to school such as pencils, stickers, slinky, trading cards, donating a book to your child’s classroom library, or talking to your child’s teacher about ideas you might have to make your child feel special.
Thank you for helping us to prevent unfavorable medical outcomes for students with food allergies and other chronic illnesses impacted by food consumption.
