Third Graders Explore the Wide World of Frogs
Third-grade researchers have been hopping into the fascinating world of frogs! Students have been learning all about amazing amphibians, including the adaptations that help them survive in different habitats. From the see-through body of the glass frog to the enormous gape of the Amazon horned frog, students have discovered the role each feature plays in a frog's survival. Students have also been practicing their informational writing skills by writing paragraphs and crafting a "freaky frog" essay. To make their learning even more engaging, each class had a special visit from Snakes-N-Scales! Ms. Erin brought some real-life reptiles and amphibians to the classroom, giving students an up-close look at some amazing creatures.
