EMS Absence Reporting
Please use this website to report your child's absence for Esperanza Middle School.

Monday, January 6th will be a B day.


Welcome back from break. We hope everyone had a relaxing and rejuvinating break! We are excited to start our year strong by following the Esperanza Smooth Sailing SR2 expectations.


As reminder during our winter season, students are not permitted to wear blankets in the building. Additionally, students cannot wear ski masks in the building. Please contact your child's Assistant Principal with any questions.

After School Activities

All after-school activities end at 3:30 pm. Two or more late pickups will result in removal from after-school activities.

Monday - Math Counts and NJHS

Tuesday -BATB Jr. Music: Belle All Villagers

Wednesday - Honors Chorus, Jazz Band, Robotics, and Yearbook

Thursday - Civil Air Patrol, Symphonic Band, and BATB Jr. Music & Blocking: Belle All Villagers

Friday - None

Upcoming Events

Winter Intramurals

Winter intramurals will start the week of January 27th. We will offer Basketball, Volleyball, Fitness Club, and Chess Club. Permission slips are below and will be available in the cafeteria during lunches this week.

All schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 20th in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

My School Bucks and the EMS Library in SMCPS
Families can pay for lost or damaged resources in My School Bucks. Resources include library books, laptops, chargers, textbooks, consumables, etc. My School Bucks is also used to put lunch money on your child's account.
