VISION STATEMENT
TO EMPOWER ONE ANOTHER TO MAKE A POSITIVE IMPACT IN THE WORLD
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
This week, our third, fourth, and fifth graders completed their state testing. We're excited to announce that on May 9th, our second graders and fifth grade choir will be showcasing their talents in our spring concert. The second graders will take the stage at 6 pm, followed by the fifth graders at 7 pm. They've put in a lot of effort to prepare, so we're eagerly anticipating a fantastic show!
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Dear Brimfield Families,
It is state testing time, a stressful time of year for teachers and students alike. Here are some practical tips to help you and your students through this eventful time. We want the students to feel as confident, rested and focused as ever when they sit down to take these tests! Starting with sleep, one of the most crucial factors for the students to be successful, making sure your student gets a good restful night of sleep will help them focus and be able to utilize their brains and knowledge to its full potential! Another helpful tip is starting the day with a healthy breakfast! Whether it is at home or at school making sure the students eat beforehand can help them with their focus! Practicing coping skills with them, such as deep belly breathing or five finger deep breathing can also be very helpful to the students when they are taking the tests. And having a positive growth mindset with your students can also be very helpful to the students! Talking to them about trying and not giving up can help keep them motivated to do their best!
If you have any concerns please feel free to contact me!

PBIS CORNER
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports is an important part of the school environment to encourage positive behavior. There are clear expectations throughout the school that are taught consistently throughout the year. The four expectations promoted at Field Local Schools are:
Safe
Outstanding
Accountable
Respectful
When students do not respond to teaching of the building or classroom expectations, we will view it as an opportunity for re-teaching, not just negative consequences. Students still receive consequences for negative behavior. The goal of the consequence is to teach students so they will not repeat the negative behavior.

A Star Shines Among Us!
We are thrilled to announce that one of our previous Brimfield Elementary students, Cord Walchalk, has landed a leading role of Stink in the upcoming production of "Judy Moody and Stink in the Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Treasure Hunt" at Barberton Magical Theater!
During the past two years, Cord dedicated himself to honing his craft at summer camps, immersing himself in the art of acting. As Cord takes center stage, we couldn't be prouder to see his talent and hard work recognized. Community members may witness Cord's electrifying performance and the magic of "Judy Moody and Stink in the Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Treasure Hunt" by visiting the Barberton Magic Theatre for information about upcoming shows and tickets.
