February 2025
Did you know that in February there is a week dedicated to School Counseling? To be clear, the focus of the week is not merely school counselor appreciation. Instead, it is celebrated to bring an awareness to the many benefits School Counseling can bring YOU!
This year, the theme is "School Counseling: Helping Students Thrive." What does it mean to truly thrive? Thriving means growing, succeeding, and feeling fulfilled in all areas of your life.As your school counselors, we want to help you achieve just that! There are several areas where we can help you thrive, including your academic growth, your emotional well-being, and your career exploration.
- Thriving academically means setting goals, staying motivated, and finding joy in learning. We can help you develop strategies to be successful academically.
- Thriving emotionally means feeling balanced, resilient, and supported. If you're feeling stressed or anxious, we are here to listen and guide you through understanding and managing your feelings.
- Thriving in your future means finding your strengths and passions. We can help you explore potential career paths and plan for a future that excites you!
Helping you thrive is our goal. Let's work together to THRIVE the rest of this school year!!!

Random Acts of Kindness Week
Kindness can have a profound impact on others. Let's celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week by making kindness the norm!
Era ISD Family Challenge
Up for a challenge? Research shows that families who engage in positive conversation and activities together on a consistent basis have children who are more successful socially and academically.
We would like to continue to experience some of the great things that happen when families spend more time together. When your child(ren) completes the monthly challenge and completes the Google Form, they are entered into a monthly drawing AND an end-of-year drawing for a Family Challenge Grand Prize Package!
We also invite you to share photos of your family challenge activities by emailing them to your campus counselor.
The monthly challenge and Google Form can be accessed by clicking on the button below.
