March 27, 2024
From the Principal's Desk...
Parents and Guardians,
This is a reminder that school will be closed from Friday, March 29th through Monday, April 8th for Easter Break plus the Solar Eclipse. I would like to take this time to wish everyone a Happy Easter! I truly hope that each family is able to relax over the break and spend some quality time with your loved ones. School will resume on Tuesday, April 9th. Once we return, we only have 7 short weeks of school before the end of the year. It is important that students stay focused on what they need to accomplish before the end of the trimester. The month of May is always crazy in a school; however, there is plenty of instruction that still needs to be completed before the end of the school year.
I would also like to remind parents to stay vigilant about checking your child(ren)’s Social Media accounts and internet viewing history. We are starting to see a few issues with students knowing/sharing things beyond their years. I will continue to remind them about the expectations of our school, but it is always helpful when they are hearing the same things at home.
Please stay safe over the break and don’t forget about spreading a little kindness to all those around you.
Thanks and have a great week!
Sincerely,
Courtney Weinheimer

St. John's Golf
St. John's Athletics is pleased to offer golf to both boys and girls in 5th-8th grade for the upcoming 2024 fall season. If your 4th grader has exceptional golf ability and maturity, they may be considered to join the instructional team. Teams are formed based on initial seeding by playing 2 practice rounds at Robin's Nest from the far tees. Your child can play these rounds on their own and will need to submit his/her score to the golf coordinator no later than June 12th. Three skill levels are offered based on the number of participants (instructional, JV, and Varsity). All kids will have the opportunity to compete in matches. Final teams and the number of matches played will be determined by the number of golfers that sign up. Matches will start mid July and run through September. The league has a tournament at the end of the season for the top teams and top players.
Fees for the 2024 season will be $60 plus a $50 family fee that is payable once per year for all sports played. Kids are required to provide their own clubs and balls for practice and play. St. John’s golf shirts will be provided and collected at the end of the season. Please indicate what size shirt is needed during registration. Please note: Each participant is responsible for the course and green fees. These range from $8-$10 per round for matches. These are payable to the coach prior to each round (cash or venmo).
If your son or daughter is interested in playing or for any questions, please email Erika Tonne, at erikatonne78@gmail.com. Parent help is needed. If you are interested in being a coach, or are interested in chaperoning any matches, please let me know if you are able to help.
