Welcome to the New School Year!
Greetings, Jack London Families,
Welcome to a new school year at Jack London Elementary School! It has been wonderful having students back on campus and settling into their new classes and routines. The year is already off to a busy start, with a very successful (if a little warm) Back to School Night behind us. Thank you to those who attended. The communication and partnership between school and home is essential for our students to be successful. If you were unable to attend in person, your child(ren) likely brought home information from their teachers on Friday regarding class policies and important information for the year.
A couple of updates:
AUSD has a new website and app for communication between schools and families. You can download the app in your phone's app store by searching for "Antioch Unified School District." Please click here for more information : https://www.antiochschools.net/o/jles/
Teachers will be sharing the best way to reach them directly. They may set up a classroom Remind or Class Dojo account, or they might prefer email or the phone. Please be sure to have your most current contact information submitted to the office, so your child's teacher can contact you.
We have a new handbook this year, outlining all of our school policies and procedures. It was sent at home at Registration Day and can also be accessed on our website. Be sure to review it and reference it if you have questions about Jack London school policies.

Counselor's Corner
Hello! I’m Jennifer Covarrubias and I am excited to be joining the London school community as the new student support counselor. I have been with AUSD for 9 years and I have had the opportunity to work at both the primary and secondary level. My goal is to collaborate with staff, students, families and the community in creating an environment that fosters social-emotional growth, encourages academic excellence, and inspires post-secondary success for all students.
What does a School Counselor do?
- Conducts classroom guidance lessons
- Conducts small groups based on the needs of the school
- Provides crisis counseling to those with an immediate need
- Will provide community information to parents that are interested in seeking therapy for students needing ongoing or long term counseling
- Provide support for school staff by assisting in parent conferences and checking in with students individually
- Provide support, education and resources for parents on a variety of topics
I look forward to working in partnership together for the success of our students!
Back To School Night - 2023-2024
Thank you for coming to our Back to School Night!
We know it was hot, and we had to modify the schedule a little, but it was still a pleasure to see so many families on campus for Back to School Night! Thank you for taking the time to visit our campus and meet with your child(ren)'s teacher about the new year! Here are some photos of the evening:
