Class of 2025 REMINDER - College & Career Ready Diploma Requirements - CPR First Aid Certification
From the Counseling Office:
Hello Seniors!
You have officially reached the halfway point of your FINAL year in high school - I hope that you are truly proud of your accomplishments. I know that I speak for the rest of the staff when I say, WE are proud of you. Enjoy your winter break - you have earned it!
This is just a reminder for students who are assigned to or seeking the College and Career Ready Diploma as their course of study for graduation.
In addition to course requirements and a 3.25 weighted GPA, the CCR Diploma requires students to earn ONE of the following endorsements:
The College Ready Endorsement -- this endorsement is earned by scoring an 18 in English and a 22 in Math on the ACT, OR earning a 500 in English and a 500 in Math if you choose to take the SAT
The Career Ready Endorsement -- **One of the routes to this endorsement is having a valid CPR/First Aid certification. We know some of you are choosing to work on this over the holiday break. BE ADVISED -- any CPR/First Aid certification MUST be completed through either the American Heart Association or the Red Cross to be valid under the CCR Diploma. If you have already completed your certification and submitted it to your counselor, it will still be accepted. The above policy applies to students who are still planning to pursue the certification.
Please reach out to your assigned counselor if you have any questions!
