Save the Date
The CSForNY State Summit on Friday, September 30th and Saturday, October 1st, 2022 to learn about how K-16 educators in New York can increase access to computer science education for all students. The conference is free, virtual, and open to all to attend.
New York has new K-12 Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards that must be implemented by September 2024. All schools and districts should also be aware of new CS teacher certifications, teacher preparation programs, and training opportunities designed for teachers with no background in CS.
The CSForNY State Summit is an opportunity to build and amplify momentum to reach more students with quality, equitable, and sustainable K-16 computer science education programs. Participants will hear from schools and districts that have already built K-12 CS pathways along with experts from the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), NYSCATE, NYSED, CSForAll, the College Board, Cornell Tech, and more.
Register for the 2022 CSForNY State Summit here on the summit website.
Every New York student deserves access to computer science regardless of zip code, race, gender, or economic background. I hope that you’ll inform others about this great opportunity.
