WILSON WILDCATS
Week of: April 28th, 2025
Note from Mrs. Gilland,
Dear Parents,
As we begin preparing for the 2025-2026 school year, I will be working diligently with our faculty to build well-balanced learning teams for each classroom. In this process, we will carefully consider factors such as learning styles, the ratio of boys and girls, student abilities, and current curricular initiatives. This process will be quite involved when considering all of these factors for 900+ students.
To ensure fairness and consistency, we will follow our past practice and will not honor requests for specific teachers. We have a wonderful teaching staff at Pike Elementary School. They are highly motivated and are master teachers.
We highly value our partnership with parents. If you have specific concerns about your child’s learning needs, we welcome your input. Please submit your concerns in writing by Tuesday, May 6th. Letters should be sent to school in a sealed envelope addressed to Mrs. Gilland. Unfortunately, we cannot accept letters after this deadline.
Thank you for your understanding and support. We are fortunate to have a dedicated, highly skilled teaching staff at Pike Elementary, and we look forward to another great school year!
