Tehama Teacher Induction Program
Induction News and Updates for Fall 2024
A MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Dear Teachers, Mentors, and Administrators,
Welcome to a New Year of Induction! I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible impact you make every day in the lives of your students and the broader community. No matter your role, your work as an educator truly makes a difference. I often hear stories from both students and adults about the lasting influence teachers have had on their lives, and the profound impact continues year after year.
Our theme this year is to “Be the Teacher You Needed as a Student.” I encourage you to take time to reflect on this—think about the teachers and mentors who shaped your own journey. Now, you have the opportunity to be that guiding force for those around you and our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for your dedication and all you do each day. Your contributions are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated. Let’s embrace this school year with the shared understanding that your commitment is truly making a difference!
Cheers,
Jillian

A successful mentor-mentee relationship is the result of planning, dedication, and perseverance. When new teachers pair with experienced mentors, they have many opportunities for interaction and growth, and when teacher-mentors provide novice educators with an optimal combination of support and cognitive challenge, the new teacher maximizes their learning.
