A note from Mr. Walton....
Will the groundhog see his shadow? Will we have an early spring?
Let’s be honest—we haven’t had much of a winter! However, these types of folklore always get our students excited!
Over the past couple of weeks, we have been learning about bullying through our Second Step curriculum. These lessons focus on recognizing and reporting bullying as well as the importance of bystander intervention. Our goal as a school and district is to provide students with safe spaces to learn and grow.
One of the best ways to combat bullying behaviors is by modeling the kindness and empathy we want to see in our students. We actively recognize and celebrate students when they show compassion and kindness toward others, reinforcing the positive behaviors that help build a strong and supportive school community.
Thank you for your continued support in fostering a positive learning environment!
New Family FAQ
With Kindergarten Registration beginning on Monday, you may have questions about ARS and District 3. To help provide answers, we developed a New Family FAQ last year, which you will find below.
Of course, we are always happy to take your call or respond to an email if you have any additional questions.
Clarity is kindness! 🙂
Social Emotional Screener
This week we will be completing the Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener (SABERS). Teachers will complete the screener for all students. Students in second through eighth grade will also take a self assessment. The data collected from this screener provides valuable insights into your child’s strengths and areas for growth. It also assists us in identifying where additional support may be needed. If you have any questions about this screener and how we use the results, please feel free to reach out to me or your child’s teacher.
Bus Tag Replacement
This year, our bus riders have been using tags to scan as they enter and exit the bus. If properly cared for, these tags are designed to last.
In the event that a tag becomes damaged or lost, District 3 will replace the first tag free of charge for all bus riders. Any subsequent replacements will incur a $5 replacement fee.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Beth Voyles at the District Office.
Virtual Backpack
Don't forget to check out the Virtual Backpack at www.dist3.org. Here you will find information about events in the District as well as some after school opportunities!
