We had a great first week back! Students got back into the swing of things immediately and worked hard all week. We even earned extra recess today (along with cupcakes from Mrs. Nelson) for their great behavior! So great!

Specials- STEAM

Bridges Math: We had our big unit test today on fractions. Kiddos have been doing a great job of completing their math homework and turning it in on time! A pizza party is in our near future. Next week we will be reviewing so that we are ready for interims.
EL Reading and ALL Block: Students have been working hard on creating their own "Choose Your Own Adventure" books about an animal. I am excited to see the final products and will hopefully be able to share them with you when they are done!
CHIRPS We spend at least thirty minutes every day learning ways to identify and express our emotions. The students are really engaged in the discussions and do a great job sharing during our circle time. This month, our focus is Empathy.
Social Studies: Early Colorado History: We will be introducing the students to various famous Coloradans. Students will collaborate with a student from Ms. Goldtraps class to research a famous person from Colorado and will present their research in a "Wax Museum" We hope to invite you to see your student's wax museum presentation after winter break.
Specials: Specials this week will be STEAM.
